SHREWSBURY – An error cut several weeks off the town’s MBTA zoning timeline, hastening the public comment process as Shrewsbury approaches a vote on the matter at Town Meeting on Nov. 18. Town Manager Kevin Mizikar described the “error” during the Sept. 10 Select Board meeting. On June 5, Shrewsbury sent its MBTA zoning plan to the state for pre-approval feedback. The state was expected to provide comments on the plan within 90 days. On July 19, the state requested Shrewsbury submit revised GIS map-

tion since it could involve change orders that could delay the project and increase costs. BFE also presented information about hiring a consultant for a possible restaurant. The consultant would compile details about design fees, seating and finding any restaurant interested in using the space. While committee members have yet to make a final decision on the options, they did decide to add an article to this fall’s Town Meeting warrant for funds to cover hiring an owner’s project manager and design costs. The committee will next meet on Thursday, Sept. 26. At that meeting, BFE will present a wrapup on the feasibility study, including an update on costs, floor plans, etc. Learn more about the options at https:// ma-westborough.civicplus.com/1219/ Westborough-Golf-Club-Building
