The historic Kortrijk city hall can be found on the Grote Markt, between Leiestraat and Rijselsestraat.
The façade is lavishly decorated and testifies to a fascinating past, as does the interior. The building exudes quality, stateliness and authority.
But do not be deceived, it also contains playful winks, visible to the observant
visitor: a reckless crusader, a mysterious measuring rod, a pseudo-countess
and a naive poet, mocked for his courting.
