Reusable Mugs & Silverware Our CafĂŠ now uses mugs and silverware for our patrons choosing to dine in the CafĂŠ seating area. With this addition, we have seen a 40% reduction in plastic usage.
Pulp Pints In an effort to give our customers more option, we started using pulp pints in the Produce Department. This has led to a 30% reduction in plastic use, and customers are now using these pulp pints instead of produce bags.
Recyclable Bulk Product Bags Our Bulk Department now uses recyclable bags. This switch has led to a 50% decrease in plastic containers.
Ink Cartridge Recycling In FY 2019, we recycles 121 lbs. of ink cartridges.
Electronics Recycling During Earth Month, with partnered with our Community Partner e-End and recycled a total of 24,579 lbs. of old electronics.
Holiday String Light Recycling This past holiday season we recycled an all-time record of 1,921 lbs. of holiday string lights!
We recently switched to Ecocraft meal bags for the CafĂŠ grab-n-go roasted chicken to cut down on plastic usage.
