The side-kick is a smart heating element that allow you to use your existing radiator independently from your central heating system. This way you can efficiently heat with electricity without removing your current radiator. You can even use a new radiator and heat with the Side-Kick, this way you won’t have to install the plumbing that is needed to connect to your central heating.
The specialy designed S-coupling gives a margin of a few centimers to ensure it will fit on any radiator.

LWA VERSUS DB(A)
The noise level of an aggregate is sometimes expressed in LWA, sometimes expressed in dB(A). The difference is in the distance between the measurement point and the sound source. LWA is measured against the aggregate (or any source of sound). DB(A) is measured at a certain distance from the unit, which should always help to determine how many meters that distance is. So LWA is dB(A) at 0 meters.

% At 4 m distance LWA value decreases by 20 points to dB(A) - 4 m
% At 7 m distance LWA value decreases by 25 points to dB(A) - 7 m
% At 10 m distance LWA value decreases by 28 points to dB(A) - 10 m
For a noise level of 95 LWA, the following applies:
% 87 dB(A) at 1 m distance
% 75 dB(A) at 4 m distance
% 70 dB(A) at 7 m distance
% 67 dB(A) at 10 m distance
The human ear experiences an increase of 10 dB(A) approximately as a doubling of the sound strength.
PEAK CURRENT DECREASE
Most electrical equipment asks for a little more power from the power source (mains or aggregate) than during use: the peak current decrease. For the mains, this usually is no problem. With an aggregate there is a risk that the continuous power and possibly the maximum power of the device will be exceeded. Exceeding the maximum power will cause problems: the unit is ‘too light’ to start the device, even though while working it has sufficient power. One solution is to connect the equipment in a different order: first the device with the highest peak current decrease and only if it works calmly, then you can connect other devices in order of decreasing power demand. In any case, never connect all equipment at the same time! Some equipment require such a high peak current decrease that this should be taken into account when purchasing an aggregate. Cooling equipment is a notorious example of that. In the following overview, you will find a peak current coefficient of the most common electrical equipment: the factor that the power of the device should be multiplied with for the peak current decrease. These figures are indicative and may vary by brand / engine. Generally, heavier engines have a higher coefficient than lighter engines. Devices without motor (lamps etc.) have a coefficient of 1.
