NOV 9 & NOV 11 | We’re pleased to introduce LISTEN/HEAR, casual sessions of live performance threaded with thoughtful talk-throughs to help you understand and truly hear symphonic music. At L/H 101, Associate Conductor Christopher Dragon will guide you through the music of Bach, Mozart, and Haydn — three greats of the Baroque and Classical periods. Plus, on NOV 11, the highlighted piece for the evening marks world-renowned bassist Edgar Meyer’s Colorado premiere of his first orchestral composition. Meyer is also the featured soloist on Bottesini’s Concerto for Double Bass No. 2. Spanish born Turina’s Danzas fantásticas adds a lively flair to open the evening, while audience favorite, Ravel’s Boléro, concludes the affair to leave you simply spellbound.
