Wheat Ridge partnered with the nonprofit community organization We Are Localworks to bring the city food, live music and more for its annual Ridgefest celebration at Anderson Park. Ridgefest even had a commemorative button contest for the second year in a row, which was won by Wheat Ridge resident Tim Tindle. This year’s theme was “putting down roots,” and Tindle’s button design conveys this theme by using actual roots. Several local businesses and organizations had booths at the June 29 event. City staff members Ashley Holland and Mary Hester were in the “Let’s Talk Wheat Ridge” booth, handing out T-shirts, water botLocal Works boardmember Terry Womble stands with his interactive art exhibit.
