OF THE MONTH expressions of the creative mind, be sure to attend the 21st Annual Open Door Studios Tour, which is held each year on the third weekend in September. This year’s event will be held Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18 from 10am-5pm. The Open Door Studios Tour (ODS) is a well-advertised and well-attended free-to-the-public two-day weekend event (Saturday and Sunday) that celebrates art and greets people from all over Colorado and nearby states such as: Texas, Utah, Wyoming, and New Mexico. Prepare yourself for an exuberant and uniquely different artistic experience of colorful visions as you embark upon a self-guided tour featuring 26 incredible

artists at their Evergreen home studios or designated studio locations (assisted by your GPS and a free ODS Tour Book available at designated sites throughout Evergreen). These artists represent painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramicists, fiber artists, and jewelers. They work in oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, bronze, glass, wood, clay, stone, steel, aluminum, found objects, silver, copper, gold and more. All ODS Tour studios are located within a 10-mile radius of downtown Evergreen so all who attend can be sure that they will be able to visit each and every artist’s studio within the allotted two days of the event. “Evergreen’s Open Door Studios Tour is a juried event and artists must apply in order to be able to participate,” said Jeannette Stutzman, who has been the ODS Tour
