“Tumultuous” is a keyword most administrators, teachers, staff, students and parents in Clear Creek County use when considering the recent history of school district superintendents. The Georgetown Loop Railroad kicked off the 2025 season with its traditional Bunny Train to celebrate the Easter season. More than 1,000 kids, parents and grandparents boarded the train April 19 for a trip into the mountains still covered

in a light blanket of snow. “It’s amazing. We pull into the station and everyone is smiling, everyone is enjoying themselves. It’s just a fun family experience,” Brakeman/Conductor Nick Hoover said before the train left the station.
