On July 10th, the Inter-Canyon Fire Department visited Tiny Town, but their call of the day was ensuring fun for kids. In the heart of Morrison lies Tiny Town, located at 6249 S Turkey Creek Rd. It’s a small, literally, community park where families can enjoy the smaller things in life.

Every year, Tiny Town welcomes the Inter-Canyon Fire Department to join in on the fun. The fire department began coming to Tiny Town 10 years ago. Department Chief Shirlaw sets it up with the help of volunteers from the fire department. The fire department brought with them some activities that children can partake in to see a glimpse of being a firefighter.

“WE’RE THE SHOWROOM FOR ALL YOUR REMODELING NEEDS!” By Jason Harris of Foothills Kitchen & Bath When our rep suggested writing an article about our store, my first thought was, “Man, if only I had paid more attention during creative writing classes, I could really make us sound interesting!” But the truth is we’ve had a lot of people these past eight years tell us how surprised they were by the breadth of our offerings, so maybe this is a good time to introduce this baby to the world. Cue some background Muzak, because I’m about to tell you our life stories. My partner, Mike, entered the industry in 1999, when he became the manager of a tile store. We had become friends while playing adult hockey, so whenever I went to the nearby Costco, I’d pop in to say hello. I was always impressed by the patience he displayed when he’d have multiple customers needing help. During that same time, I started two businesses — a hockey distribution business and a franchise that sold advertising to auto dealers — that were profitable, but not enough so. As the chain he worked for began to fade after the recession, he stepped aside and created a mobile showroom that was stunning. When I remarked about the wonderful job he had done, he said he’d like me to join him. I remember driving around that day dreaming about a showroom where customers could find everything they needed in one place. It took us a while to get there, because it cost more than we anticipated, but we’re finally at a point where no other store is quite like it.
