Reversing a previous determination of validity, a hearing officer ruled Wednesday that a citizen petition opposing a multifamily development in Englewood
fell 57 signatures short of what was needed. Of that shortfall, 50 signatures were lost when the hearing officer rejected one packet of signatures because it appeared to have been disassembled and restapled.
The referendum petition concerning the proposed development of the former Sam’s Automotive site had been previously deemed valid by the Englewood City Clerk’s Office, but a protest of
