The Georgetown Board of Selectmen chose Daniel Trechter of Manhattan, Kansas to lead the department moving forward as police marshal. Trechter was among four finalists for the position, including Jon Gaskins who has been acting chief for the town since former Marshal Randy Williams stepped down in March.
