EPRD board considers projects, strategic plan

The Evergreen Park & Recreation District board is closer to finalizing both its strategic plan and the list of projects to be proposed for a property-tax extension. Board members hope voters in November will extend a property tax that expires in 2025, bringing the rec district about $1.3 million a year, with three goals in mind: take care of what we have, rebuild recreation and expand services. The goals were formed after extensive public input earlier this year to determine how to improve the district in the next 10 years as part of a strategic planning process.
