Rogliano Real Estate Group 2 West Dry Creek Circle #100 Littleton, CO 80120 303.667.5485 joan@roglianorealestategroup.com www.roglianorealestategroup.com Where were you born? How long have you lived in the area? What do you like most about it? I was born in Bronxville, NY and have lived in Denver for about 30 years. While I love the energy of the east coast, Colorado has a lifestyle that is incomparable, revolving around 300 days of sunshine. Denver is a wonderful blend of cultural offerings and provides recreational adventures regardless of your interests. It is a true Mecca for people from all across the country and is actually now becoming recognized as a wonderful place to retire. This contributes to the friendly outgoing nature of new acquaintances—also a draw.
financial decision most families make, and it is highly emotional. For both of these reasons families need to be fully informed before moving forward. To best serve my clients in this transition, I now hold the national designation of being a Real Estate Divorce Specialist (REDS). Holding this designation has prepared me to understand the anatomy of divorce, and the vital role a Realtor plays in providing a team approach to resolution. There is no one size fits all in divorce and each family’s best interest must be of primary importance. This is probably one of the major challenges in this specialization. There is frequently so much pain and anxiety that people want to “just get it over with” and don’t look at all the financial, legal, tax and emotional consequences of their decision about the marital home. Often they are instructed that they don’t have choices, when frequently they do.
like to take advantage of all the rich cultural offerings in our area.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to sell or to buy a house? Whether buying or selling a home or investment property, these days it is imperative to do your homework. Gather all the facts before proceeding and speak with a number of loan originators to compare rates, costs and service. Work with a Realtor who has a trusted team of experts in place to work with you toward your short and long term goals. What is the most unusual thing you have encountered while working in Real Estate? The most pleasantly unusual thing I have encountered while working in real estate is the pure joy that this practice has brought to my life- even after all these years!

How long have you worked in Real Estate? Real estate has been a part of my life for 25 years, and the business has changed dramatically. I have worked with a few of the larger companies and have now found a true home in running my own brokerage. What is your specialty and what does that mean for the people you work with? What is the most challenging part of what you do? My journey, following my own divorce, led me to a specialization in working
