What is the most challenging part of what you do? Dealing with the unknowns and the issues that we have no control over – lenders, appraisals, and inspections – those items can be very challenging.

Where were you born? Right here, in Denver. I am a Denver native! How long have you lived in the area? All my life - I grew up in the Arvada area and currently live in Golden and office in Arvada. What do you like most about it? I love everything about Colorado. I am such an outdoors person, very much into athletics. I’m an avid hiker, bike rider, runner, skier, snowshoer and golfer.

What do you most enjoy doing when you’re not working? I love hiking everywhere in the Colorado Rockies. I have summited over forty of the fifty-four 14’ers; I have hiked many miles of the Continental Divide, the Colorado Trail and numerous other trails in this wonderful state. I also have seven year-old Australian Shepherd named Izzie with whom I do Dog Agility, K-9 nose and freestyle dance.

Make sure it’s priced right and in good condition, prime for the best it can be. What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy a house? Make sure you take your time and rely on a REALTOR you trust to help you make the right decision. What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in Real Estate? I sold a Space Ship – the home was literally built to look like a flying saucer. The entrance was underneath and dropped down like attic stairs with the garage opener. Inside was one big room with a kitchenette, self-contained, sufficient, a very unique property. The house was purchased in Lakewood and they flew it to Bailey, where it is today.

How long have you worked in Real Estate? In January of this year, I celebrated 40 years as a full-time real estate broker. I was one of the youngest people to get a license and I have been with Re/Max 37 years.
