HoRew vis to eUsPae gethisHeBo adok er This workbook provides lots of practice to help your child to recall all the times tables up to 12 x 12 quickly and fluently, thereby preparing them for the national Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check and other Key Stage 2 assessments such as SATs. Progressing in difficulty with an emphasis on the harder multiplications, a series of 15-question tests offer thorough practice of the 2 to 12 times tables. These tests include recall and problem-solving questions, supported by tips which offer mental strategies to use. In order to aid conceptual understanding of mathematical structures, a range of more complex calculations (including decimals and multiples of 10 and 100) have been included in the tests. These questions focus on the application of known multiplication facts through procedural variation. Being able to apply number facts in different contexts supports children’s fluency and depth of understanding in learning the multiplication tables. At regular intervals throughout the book, Speed Tests develop fluency and accuracy against the clock to ensure that your child is well prepared for the timed Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check.
