Library Membership
Colleyville Public Library welcomes residents and non-residents to join the library. Memberships are required to register for library programming.
Residents
Colleyville residents receive a library card free of charge when they show picture ID and proof of residence: a valid Texas driver’s license, state identification card, military identification card, current utility bill, current bank statement, or current real estate tax bill. A valid driver’s license is required to verify residency.

Residents of cities outside of Colleyville may register their home library cards in the Colleyville system allowing them access to Colleyville Library physical resources. A $25.00 annual fee will be charged for borrowing privileges only for non-residents whose home library does not participate in TexShare or Reciprocal Borrowing, and for non-residents not served by a home library. A valid driver’s license is required to verify residency.
Patrons 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (18+) while inside the library.
Colleyville Public Library welcomes readers of all ages to participate in the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge: Chill Out and Read! Registration opens Monday, May 18th.
Who may enter?
The Summer Reading Challenge is open to children, teens, and adults. Those ages 12 and under are considered to be in the children’s category; teens are ages 12-17. Participants who are 12 years old must choose to participate in either the Youth or Teen Challenge.
What kind of reading counts?
Read or listen to a book, e-book, or audiobook that you checked out from the Colleyville Public Library.
Children’s Reading Challenge:
Log your reading and the more you read, the more chances you have to win prizes! Last day to claim prizes is Thursday, July 23.
Adult and Teen’s Reading Challenge:
Every book you read and every teen or adult program you attend earns an entry into our weekly prize drawing. After five entries, participants receive a Summer Reading T-Shirt (while supplies last) and are eligible for our Grand Prize Drawing. Last day to complete the challenge is Thursday, July 23.
REGISTRATION FOR CHILDREN'S
Registration opens Monday, May 18th at 10:00 a.m. and is open to all library card holders. Programs are available for newborns through age 13 and last for seven weeks. Space is limited. Preference will be given to Colleyville residents; non-residents will be notified if a spot is available.
Registration can be done online at colleyville.librarycalendar.com or in person. Find the class that you want to register for then click on the REGISTER button. Caregivers must fill out one registration form per child.
**PLEASE NOTE**: Submission of a program registration form DOES NOT guarantee the child a spot in the class. Registration requests will be processed as quickly as possible in the order they are received. A staff member will call or email all story time registrants to confirm whether there is a spot available in the class.

Calling all Pokémon Trainers! Children ages 7-10 years are invited to join the ultimate Pokémon adventure! It’s the perfect place for Pokémon fans to compete, connect, and have fun! Players are highly encouraged to bring their own cards, but a limited number of basic cards will be available for in-library use. Required supplies needed: 60 Pokémon cards and basic understanding of TCG.

MEDITATION & SOUND BATH
A sound bath is a meditative, therapeutic experience where participants lie down and listen to resonant sounds such as crystal bowls, gongs, or chimes intended to induce deep relaxation, reduce stress, and promote healing. Joanne Fernandez of Sama Holistic Wellness will provide an overview of sound therapy, what to expect during a session, and do a brief guided meditation with singing bowls, chimes, etc. The session will close with what to expect after a sound bath. Participants should bring the following items to the program: yoga mat, pillow, blanket, an eye mask if they wish to cover their eyes, and water.

What is the Makerspace?
The Colleyville Public Library’s Makerspace is a dedicated area where library users can utilize a variety of hands-on opportunities, have access to technology, encourage learning, and empower creativity.
Who can use it?
All patrons must have a valid Colleyville Public Library card or a valid Non-Resident Library Card which is in good standing to have access to the Makerspace. Patrons under the age of 13 years must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years while visiting the Makerspace regardless of whether any tool, machinery, or equipment is being used by the child. Children under the age of 9 years may not use or operate Makerspace equipment.

Equipment inside the Makerspace
The Makerspace offers a wide range of equipment for cardholders to utilize. The Makerspace features a laminator, sewing machines, Cricut and heat press, button maker, laser engraver, and a 3D printer. For fees, approved materials, and other general equipment information, visit the library's reservation site for more details on each piece of equipment.
Patrons are required to sign the “Waiver and Release of Liability Form” prior to using any Makerspace equipment. A parent or legal guardian must sign the “Waiver and Release of Liability Form” for any patron under the age of 18 years prior to using any Makerspace equipment.
Sessions and Reservations
Makerspace equipment is available for individual use by reservation or walk-in. Equipment usage will be allotted in 30-minute sessions and patrons may use equipment for up to 2 hours per day. A patron session is limited to a single piece of equipment/workstation at a time. The library recommends that a patron clean and restore the equipment/work station during the last 15 minutes of their session. All work and cleaning must be completed by the end of their session. Reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance via the library's reservation site, by phone, email, or in person.
Please check in with library staff at the Makerspace staff desk upon your arrival. Staff will hold a machine for 15 minutes after the reservation time. If you do not check in within that time frame, you may be considered a no-show and could lose your reservation.
