CSR ANNUAL REPORT 2021

Blue, the new green.

FOREWORD “In today’s world, communities turn to businesses that tackle ecological, social, and economic issues. Ranging from safe and sustainable operations to the tackling of the effects of climate change. Our priority is the health of our employees and all partners we work with on a daily basis. At Collé Rental & Sales, we are confident that during these challenging times, we will continue to deliver innovations that improve product performance and together with our customers we shall switch to more sustainable solutions. We are of the opinion that sustainability is a need that is emerging at all levels of our society. Although we are proud of our performances in 2019 and 2020, we realise that continuous improvement is a never-ending process. In 2021 we continued the sustainability approach of the 6 pillars: joint innovation, efficient consumption, effective maintenance, reuse of machines, transport optimisation, and electric machinery. Moreover, oriented towards the future, we shall increasingly equip our machinery with environmentally friendly fuel. We look forward to working closely together with our partners. Together, we remain focused on the delivery of exceptional value through our sustainable offer.” Frits Collé General Director Collé Rental & Sales

Collé Rental & Sales - MVO Jaarverslag 2021

HISTORY The company Collé was founded in Isenbruch more than 120 years ago. From times immemorial, Collé has been a farming business that also included a forge and a café. The main activities of the forge consisted of shoeing horses and forging small agricultural tools that were suitable for use behind the horse, e.g. ploughs and cultivators. In due course, the forge developed into a, at the time, sophisticated mechanisation business with, inter alia, tractors, harvesters, and threshers. Soon the workforce also expanded, from the family and one servant to 5 or 6 employees. At the time, a distinction had already been made between the workshop and the sales department.

Growth

Collé continued growing and in 1965 the second branch was opened in Limbricht. Agriculture was flourishing in Limbricht and the mechanisation was implemented increasingly. The workforce in Limbricht consisted of two sales employees, one warehouse employee, and six mechanics. In 1979, a new milestone was reached through the realisation of the new development at the Nusterweg 90 in Sittard. The new branch disposed of a showroom, a workshop, offices, storage options, and a demonstration area. Henceforth, Collé disposed of a properly equipped workshop that is being kept up to date to this very day. In 1990, Collé relocated completely from Isenbruch in Germany to the current head office in Sittard. In 1991, Collé was expanded with the acquisition of Rodac International from Roosendaal, a trading business specialised in the import and export of pneumatic tools. In 1994, the business relocated from Roosendaal to Sittard. In 1993, the agricultural sector was going through a deep depression. At the time, the agricultural sector only made up 30% of the total sales of Collé. The majority of it was generated via the branch in Koningsbosch. Apart from the agricultural sector, Collé started focussing on industry, cleaning, garden and park and both professional and private sales. In 1996, the product range was expanded further with earthmoving equipment, fork-lift trucks, telescopic handlers, and aerial work platforms of, inter alia, the brands Neuson and Manitou. These are originally very solid and reliable machines from Austria and France. In 1999, Collé Verhuur B.V. was founded. This new rental company has since mostly focused on the business market and can be characterised by a wide range of machines available for rental.

Education and Training Centre

In recent years, Collé has realised a strong sales increase in the rental segment in the BeNeLux and Germany. In the sales segment it is increasingly performing its operations worldwide. Our Projects and Events business units ensure that we can deliver a total solution to our customers. Over the years, the requirements regarding safety and the environment have been tightened considerably. Collé continuously kept adjusting its business and also obtained the VCA certificate. As a result of the rapid growth, Collé purchased a new building at the Nusterweg 100 in Sittard in 2009. At the beginning of 2010, Collé Verhuur B.V. relocated to the new location. Safety and the environment became increasingly more important in the business community as a result of which Collé started its own education and training centre in 2014. Collé Safety & Training focuses on the training of in-house staff, as well as professionals in the building, industry and/or petrochemical sector.

Sustainability

In addition to the education and training centre in connection with safety and the environment, Collé actively started working on sustainability. Sustainability is a permanent element in Collé's policy, alongside safety and the environment. Fewer CO2 emissions, less noise pollution, and fewer fossil fuels but with the same performances as diesel engines, Collé has been aiming for electric for 100%. When purchasing new machines, we choose the electric version as much as possible. The share of electric machines in the rental fleet is growing rapidly. In 2020, well over 6,200 machines are electric. Collé is not only investing in equipment, but insight into energy consumption and CO2 emissions are also important within the CSR policy. However, it is not about insight alone, active steering on it also takes place. On the one hand, by investing in energy-efficient LED lights, EURO-6 engines when the machinery is replaced, and, on the other hand, sustainability awareness amongst employees. Training drivers in conformity with The New Way of Driving, rendering office staff aware of what they can actively do to save energy. At the end of 2018, Sittard Machinehandel B.V. obtained the Recognised Sustainable Plus certificate. Sustainability is more important now, and it is only becoming more important in the future. 5

6 PILLARS 'Green' buildings, 'green' transport and 'green' operations are becoming a prerequisite for doing business. Both the regulations and the social debate fed this trend. These days, reduction of the emission of CO2, NOX, and fine particulate matter is a common goal. Not only because of the harmful emissions, but also because of the noise pollution. The reduction of emissions is not only relevant now, but shall continue to be so in the future. Sustainability is part of the long-term strategy of Collé. This results in a proactive role. Collé Rental & Sales is the partner for sustainable solutions and 'green' advice for machines and equipment. Since 2013 our message has been:

1 2 3 4 5 6

Joint innovation As a leading provider in the market, innovation is key. Through solid relationships and intensive collaboration with manufacturers, we work on innovative machines that are as safe as possible with the lowest possible emissions.

Efficient consumption The right machine with the right specifications for the right job ensures a perfect match. Together with the correct knowledge of the machine and its efficient use, a reduction of harmful emissions is achieved.

Effective maintenance All machines are efficiently maintained and inspected by qualified technicians. This ensures longer equipment life and safe working conditions for operators. In addition, efficient maintenance reduces downtime and therefore promotes optimum use, resulting in lower emissions.

Reuse of parts The reuse of parts from written-off or non-repairable machines is an integral part of the operation of our technical department. When a machine is technically written off or beyond repair, it is completely dismantled. Parts that are no longer usable are disposed of in the waste stream. The parts that can be reused are added to the reuse stockpile. This allows us to extend the service life of our machines and parts.

Transport optimisation Our own transport fleet consists of more than 60 transport combinations. All drivers are trained in accordance with the Code 95 refresher course. Furthermore, our logistics hubs play an important role in optimising each trip. This optimisation results in lower fuel consumption and, therefore, fewer emissions.

Electric machinery The total fleet consists of more than 20,000 machines. A large proportion of these are electric. When replacing and/or renewing the already practically new fleet, investments are made in electric machines. In addition, traditional diesel machines are being electrified. Machines that are not yet available in electric versions are equipped with the innovative Stage V engines. A large number of machines are driven by people instead of an engine.

CSR POLICY Since 2013, Collé Rental & Sales has been operating according to its own CSR Policy. This policy gives direction to the CSR management system and to how Collé Rental & Sales actually integrates CSR into the business processes. Collé: Simply good & sustainable

Throughout the years we have always remained ourselves at Collé. Focusing on the customer demand, meeting or exceeding the customer expectations, keeping customers satisfied, and ample attention for our people: the Collé family. This is in our genes and results in a unique position in the market for Collé as a family business. Honesty and transparency are of paramount importance to us. In this policy statement we describe in short what we want to do sustainably, what we want to be, and what we want to radiate.

Exceeding customer expectations

Collé centres on the customer. Customers offer us continuity through the award of contracts. In this respect, we want to take stock of the requirements and expectations of customers in the best way possible, in order to provide professional recommendations tailored to the customer and to subsequently exceed the expectations and comply with the applicable legislation and regulations. At Collé we always go the extra mile for the customer. This is realised by thinking along with the customer from the start in order to arrive at the best possible solution for their questions. To exceed the expectations of the customer we are always looking for solutions and innovations. Together with the customer and our suppliers, we work on optimisation of the products and expansion of the options. We evaluate our performances in association with our customers. The objective of this is to verify in an open and transparent manner how we can do things even better, in order to always perform in a better, more efficient, and more sustainable manner as an organisation.

Improvement of environmental performances

Collé assumes responsibility for sustainable operations. In the long term, this is required to safeguard the continuity. We always take things further in order to improve our environmental performances, prevent environmental damages, invest in a strong region, and support our employees. We support our employees with safe and healthy workspaces, and a pleasant work atmosphere. Every day, we want to take steps in the area of the environment. You do not improve the world in one go. However, by being conscious of the environment, we want to prevent wastage and pollution. Simply through easy and effective measures. Reduction of the fuel consumption, prevention of oil leakages, air purification installations in workshops, green power, electric machines, and LED lighting are only a few examples. Each and every employee is stimulated to prevent environmental pollution

and alternative energy sources.

Electrification of machinery

With regard to energy, Collé has the ambition of continuously taking measures to reduce energy consumption and to assess whether there are options to generate sustainable energy. With the ultimate objective of implementing these measures in the organisation. In this respect, we think in solutions and innovations. We all stay creative and ambitious in this area to, in addition to minimising the consumption, also reduce the emission of CO2. We are fully committed to the electrification of our machinery. At the end of 2021, the machinery of Collé Rental & Sales consists of more than 6,200 electric machines.

Working in conformity with VCA-P guidelines

In the area of safety and well-being of our employees and customers, we ensure that our products can always be operated safely. In this respect, extensive inspections, proper maintenance, safety devices for working safely with our machines, and always clear controls and manuals are the guiding principle. Collé disposes of a VCA-P certified management system, all employees are trained according to the B-VCA and/ or FULL-VCA standards. We proactively advise customers on safe deployment of the resources and provide the additional protection to also guarantee the safety of consumers. All with the objective of preventing (personal) injury or property damages to anyone employed on behalf of or for Collé and persons who can get in contact with the machines as much as possible.

Our employees

At Collé Rental & Sales we depart from the WE feeling. The people make the organisation and together we work on an optimal result by continuously improving in all areas: sustainable, customer-oriented, efficient, safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible. How? By being clear together what the objectives of Collé are and by subsequently pursuing them together. Through good communication and a pleasant business culture, we are all singing from the same song sheet. We understand of each other what we do, why we do it, and what we want to accomplish. At Collé everyone has the chance of proving themselves and developing individually. If you want to grow, you can! This is, indeed, appreciated at Collé. Employees are stimulated to take steps and are allocated time, coaching, and training for that. Health and safety represent a top priority at Collé.

and to think along about better environmental performances 11

CSR POLICY Work is simply always performed safely. Every employee and every customer must be able to work safely. Now and in the future. We use all methods and resources available to be able to work in a safe and healthy manner. For example, all our machines are well maintained, modern, equipped with a CE marking, dispose of the required safety device(s), and are inspected in association with renowned inspection institutions.

Innovation

We want to improve every day. This is the only way to structurally pursue the Good & Sustainable principle. Good is normal tomorrow, but not enough the day after. What is sustainable now, shall soon no longer be distinctive. The world is developing at breakneck speed and Collé moves with it. We want to continue being at the cutting edge of our sector and that is why, in association with our employees, customers, and suppliers, we continuously invest in improvements in the area of health, safety, and the environment, and innovations. By being innovative, thinking in solutions, and challenging the powers that be, we are always learning and improving. And the process of learning and improving never stops. We consequently expect everyone to be critical about their work and to ask themselves how it can be done better, more efficiently or smarter. Every idea is an idea and is taken seriously. According to Collé that is the method to work better and smarter than the competitors and that is the challenge for us! At Collé everyone has the chance of proving themselves and developing individually. If you want to grow, you can! This is, indeed, appreciated at Collé. Employees are stimulated to take steps and are allocated time, coaching, and training for that. Health and safety represent a top priority at Collé. Work is simply always performed safely.

Recognised Sustainable Plus

At the end of 2018 all branches of Collé Rental & Sales obtained the Recognised Sustainable Plus certificate. A certification that is well in line with the ambitions in the area of Sustainability. This certification was obtained because it specifically addresses workshops and transport. Two core activities within Collé. We are proud of the fact that we could immediately join the second highest level of the scheme with a good score. The

12 Collé Rental & Sales - MVO Jaarverslag 2021

certificate was obtained because Collé scores well in the area of energy and fuel consumption, control of the environmental aspects, the deployment of sustainable resources, the degree that waste is separated, and the attention to healthy and safe work. It goes without saying that the process that resulted in the Recognised Sustainable Plus certificate also resulted in new insights. These insights are used to take the next steps in the area of sustainability.

Challenge

We are in it together! Success is stimulating and offers continuity and possibilities to invest. That is why we should seize opportunities together and always think in solutions. Then we are facing a wonderful challenge together to ensure growth of Collé in all aspects.

CSR POLICY Mission & Vision As a specialist in rental, sale, and service of machines for the building, industry, events, and petrochemical sectors we do not only reach business decisions in view of profitability but also in consideration of the potential consequences, the impact and effects on our people, the environment, and our own reputation. We continuously ensure that our products and (provision of) services meet the contemporary (customer) needs and market demand, without jeopardising future objectives. CSR is an important tool to Collé Rental & Sales to integrate our sustainability objectives in the business operations and to realise them. We fulfil various roles in the value chain. This can include: supplier, buyer, service partner, or cooperation partner. With every role we try to create unity in respect of our CSR guiding principles.

Strategy The business strategy of Collé Rental & Sales is translated into a specific policy, aimed at sustainable entrepreneurship. Always aware of our public task and with our CSR policy as one of the strategic spearheads. It is only possible to realise sustainable business operations if we can apply an integrated approach of the CSR strategy in the day-to-day operations. People: The social side of the business practice. Planet: Attention for the environment and the climate in the business practice. Profit: Create sustainable value and sustainable processes in the business practice. The preservation of an integrated approach of CSR topics is our ambition in the course of which we continue monitoring the short- and medium-term vision and results and do not lose sight of our business interests.

PEOPLE Safety as a top priority The risk of an accident is, unfortunately, always present, certainly when it comes to the people at our workshops who work with and on our machines on a daily basis. All employees of Collé Rental & Sales who work with the machines on a daily basis participate in a course to handle this as safely as possible. In addition, everyone has their own personal protective equipment, e.g. fall protection, safety shoes, and a safety helmet. We also provide (special) work clothing to our employees. Periodically, observations and workplace inspections are carried out. On the basis of this inventory, Collé realises a solid HSE awareness programme.

Toolbox meeting 2021 A toolbox meeting takes place monthly. These toolbox meetings have the objective of informing and instructing employees about unsafe work situations that may arise (potentially in combination with a certain type of tools). Since April 2020, Collé has employed a specific QHSE coordinator who, departing from their responsibilities, monitors that all safety measures are applied and complied with accurately. In 2021, the following toolbox meetings took place: #

By offering fresh fruit, the employees: are more productive, more energetic, and fitter; are less likely to fall ill; perform their work with pleasure; are less tired or listless. In addition, a bicycle scheme and business fitness are actively offered by Collé Rental & Sales.

16 Collé Rental & Sales - MVO Jaarverslag 2021

PEOPLE 10

Collé Rental & Sales actively works on the reduction of the sickness absenteeism. For instance, an absenteeism meeting is held frequently if an employee has fallen ill three times in the calendar year. Cooperation is in place with the Occupational Health and Safety Service Gepoma, as a result of which there is regular contact between the employer, the Occupational Health and Safety Service, and the employee. The sickness absenteeism in 2021 (7.51%) is considerably higher than in 2020 (6.13%), however this does not surprise us. Unfortunately, Covid-19 played a significant role in this, as a result of which the objective of reducing the absenteeism percentage was not met. Collé Rental & Sales has the objective of reducing the absenteeism through investments in vitality.

Development opportunities Everyone at Collé has the chance of developing themselves. Collé also stimulates this in its business operations. In addition, Collé assesses the qualifies of every employee in order to deploy them even better. If employees do not dispose of the diplomas required for the position then it is assessed in consultation how the required papers can be obtained. Additional training is important for the technical positions. Together with its suppliers, Collé provides training for our employees in order to stay up to date in the area of technique. Suppliers appreciate the relevant commitment of Collé.

Collé as an approved work placement company Collé Rental & Sales was certified by the SBB as an approved work placement company. Since 2019, all certifications have been placed with the SBB. This implies that Collé provides apprentices and students sufficient room to develop themselves. As an approved work placement company, Collé guarantees learning opportunities and expert coaching.

Social return

Industrial accidents

Collé Rental & Sales is pleased to assist persons at a distance from the labour market by making a contribution to this target group (persons receiving an unemployment or invalidity benefit, persons receiving benefits under the Dutch Work and Employment Support (Young Disabled Persons) Act, and the like) by offering them a position.

In 2021 there were no industrial accidents subject to notification. We actively communicate with our employees about the risks when working with equipment in order to reduce the chance of an accident. For instance, HSE observations, inspections, and toolbox meetings are organised several times a year.

Expansion of transport fleet Since 2016 various savings measures have been implemented to save fuel. Despite the considerable increase in fuel consumption, we were nonetheless able to realise savings. Expansion of the field staff, more deployment of service buses, and the number of transport movements to the customers. The expansion of the Eindhoven branch with additional equipment provides for a logistical ‘hub’ as a result of which scheduling can take place even more efficiently.

Measurement of the fuel consumption Within Collé Rental & Sales the fuel consumption is monitored accurately. This is done through the fleet management platform “Web Fleet”. The fuel consumption of the lorries regards the largest measurable fuel item. The fuel consumption of the lorries is, inter alia, included in the CO2 footprint. To monitor the annual figures more tightly, monthly reporting of the trend takes place on the basis of a reliable random sample. We obtain the data for this measurement from the Web Fleet. In respect of the 2019-2021 period we can conclude that the fuel consumption generally displays a decreasing trend. In addition, we have a module in the Web Fleet portal with which we can monitor the driving behaviour. The Web Fleet periodically assigns a mark to it. These reports are sent to the QHSE coordinator on a monthly basis. Driver of the month! The reports generated by Web Fleet are used to assess who is periodically classified as the best driver. After all, the driving behaviour affects the fuel consumption. The best driver is elected and of course this is accompanied by a nice present.

23

PLANET Code 95, The New Way of Driving A better driving style results in more road safety. For instance, the implementation of Directive Code 95 is meant to render and keep professional drivers competent. The new way of driving is one of the components and it teaches the driver a safe and more economical driving style. The new way of driving is about relatively minor adjustments of the driving style that yield much. The application of some simple tips already immediately results in an increase in comfortable driving and safety, and a decrease in fuel consumption. The advantages of the new way of driving at Collé Rental & Sales are: Fuel savings; Less wear and tear on tyres and brakes; Lower maintenance costs;

24 Collé Rental & Sales - MVO Jaarverslag 2021

Driver drives in a more relaxed manner; Fewer damages to equipment and load.

PLANET Reduction of waste flows Collé has more than 20 different waste flows. Various waste products are discharged via various waste processors. In addition to the customary waste flows, e.g. commercial waste and paper, the waste at Collé is also actively separated. For instance, there are separate waste flows for batteries, oil, and oil-containing waste. The environment is unburdened as much as possible through separation and active deployment of recycling. Many of the waste flows are related to the performances of Collé. Savings on the waste flows are, consequently, not easy. Nonetheless, we pursue a reduction of the waste flows.

26 Collé Rental & Sales - MVO Jaarverslag 2021

PROFIT The growth of Collé Rental & Sales stabilised in 2020. In 2020, despite difficult circumstances as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we realised almost the same sales as in 2019. Investments in the future, in staff and machines, took place as usual, despite the circumstances. A new investment in Leipzig-Gera was realised and further expansions for 2021 are in the pipeline. In terms of the profit objectives, we can continue the objectives formulated in 2019 in 2020 and subsequent years. The multi-annual objectives include:

Objectives Create sustainable added value for customers, the surroundings, and internal organisation through the optimisation of primary processes and through continued investments in money, time, and energy in the same. Expand the share to 50% through renewal of the machinery. Expand the share to 50% through, as much as possible, electrification of existing diesel machines. Play an active role in the local economy. Provide a learning environment for students and people at a distance from the labour market.

Sponsoring Collé Rental & Sales is pleased to contribute to cultural development, sports, and innovation. We often act as supporting partner of initiatives and events. We are pleased to join sophisticated projects, organised as a one-off or annually. However, it is not possible for us to support all initiatives; the number of requests that Collé Rental & Sales receives for this every year are too many to do so. Due to the many sponsorship requests, Collé developed a sponsor policy in order to handle the requests fast and properly.

CO2 FOOTPRINT REPORTING 2021 The CO2 footprint reporting was audited by the independent auditor BDO Audit & Assurance B.V. BDO conducted this audit according to Dutch law, including the Dutch Standard 3410 ‘Assurance engagements regarding emission reports’. This engagement focuses on obtaining a limited degree of certainty. The responsibilities of BDO Audit & Assurance are, on the basis hereof, described in the section ‘Our responsibilities for the audit of the CO2 footprint report 2021’. 1. Introduction Collé Rental & Sales consciously opt for assessment of its CO2 footprint in the context of sustainable business operations. Sustainability assesses the present need of people on earth and how this can be developed in the future without jeopardising people, the environment, or the economy. Objective of this document is to indicate why Collé opts for the issue of a CO2 footprint verification, to what entities it applies, and the way that we present our annual CO2 footprint figures. In addition, it is a detailed document in which it is indicated and explained what the direct and indirect emissions are and what the underlying basis is.

2. Background / reason We want to increase our CO2 reduction substantially by reducing the CO2 in the business operations, in projects, and in the chain. In practice, this shall also lead to structural energy and cost savings. The CO2 objectives form an integral part of our energy management system that we apply in the context of the CSR performance ladder. Annually, the outcome from the scopes is per category compared to the previous year and the trends are analysed. The outcome from these analyses is translated into tactical and operational actions. These actions are integrated in the processes within the organisation in order to form a trigger for the realisation of the CSR objectives. 3. Criteria applied for the preparation of the CO2 footprint Collé Rental & Sales prepares its own CO2 footprint; the criteria that are applied in this context are mentioned in this document and are also based on the directives of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) and the CO2 Performance Ladder. Below, the scope, the boundaries of the organisation, and the operational boundaries in respect of the CO2 footprint are addressed further. Scope The following operations of Collé Rental & Sales (trade name Collé businesses) fall within the scope of the CO2 footprint: The sales, rental, maintenance, assembly (disassembly), manned rental of machines, and facility units, whether or not deployed on a project basis, and the provision of training, courses, and information. The following entities are part of the CO2 footprint verification of Collé Rental & Sales, which includes the Dutch operations: Collé Sittard Machinehandel B.V.; CoC 14039434 Collé Sittard Verhuur B.V.; CoC 14053436 Collé Rental & Sales Projekt B.V.; CoC 14104401 Collé Safety & Training B.V.; CoC 14093571 Only scope 1 and 2 are included in the report. They include, on the one hand, the direct emissions caused by the organisation and, on the other hand, the indirect emissions that are caused by the generation of electricity and business travelling. Scope 3 is not taken into account in the report. This scope includes the indirect emissions caused by business operations of another organisation. Within the scope 3 emissions, the diesel used by customers is, in our estimate, by far the largest emission. Other examples are: production of machines and cargo and passenger cars, official resources (ICT, servers, hardware, and copiers), realisation and maintenance of buildings, office resources, greens facilities, avoided emission due to, for instance, avoided waste. Having regard to the nature of these operations, the information that is required to establish the emissions is not available and the emission cannot be established in a sufficiently reliable manner.

CO2 FOOTPRINT REPORTING 2021 Departing from these guiding principles, we obtained a limited degree of certainty about the scope 1 and 2 emissions. The assurance opinion of the independent auditor is provided on page 36. Boundaries of the organisation with regard to the CO2 footprint In order to be able to determine the CO2 footprint, the organisational boundaries in respect of the CO2 footprint were clarified. The guiding principle in this respect is that the operations of the operational businesses in the Netherlands that fall under Collé Sittard Beheer B.V. (trade name: Collé Rental & Sales; CoC 14072012) are included in the CO2 footprint. Collé Sittard Beheer is the highest entity within the organisation. All Dutch units and branches fall within the CO2 footprint and the emissions of scope 1 and 2 of the operations are included in the CO2 footprint. These entities are present in Sittard, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Groningen, and Eemshaven. Operational boundaries in respect of the CO2 footprint To determine the scope, the scope classification of the GHG Protocol was used. The analysis in this respect was carried out in the same manner as applicable for the CO2 Performance Ladder, as shown below:

The aforementioned emissions are included in the footprint because Collé Rental & Sales can affect it and can implement measures for improvement. All scope 1 and 2 emissions of a material size were included in the CO2 footprint. The data that are used are representative and originate from the aforementioned sources and/or the ERP package. The data were obtained by means of reliable measuring tools: supplier data and tank installations. Applied emission factors To arrive at a reliable CO2 emission, representative standards and conversion factors were used. The emission factors were consulted via c02emissiefactoren.nl. Basically, a market-based approach is used, if wind energy is purchased (environmental label of the SMK) then an emission factor of 0 is used. If the correct conversion factor is not available or in case of doubt between 2 values, the most conservative value is used.

The report of the trend has the objective of providing insight into the steps that Collé has taken in recent years. In the context of the 2021 assurance engagement, the said trend was not taken into account as the assessment does not regard the assessment of the data of the previous year. The relative CO2 emission of 2021 compared to 2012 dropped from 73.25 grammes € of sales to 43.17 grammes / € of sales. The decrease is the result of awareness of the emission within Collé. The graphs above show that we have been able to realise a structural reduction of the relative CO2 emission in the past 10 years and that we are thus giving substance to our objective. In 2020, the relative CO2 emission compared to 2019 increased from 41.45 grammes € of sales to 47.90 grammes / € of sales. This can be attributed to declining sales in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
