That cuddly little Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so it sounds like we’ve got six more weeks of winter coming! Whatever climate you call home, we hope you are having an awesome winter season. Try to savor every bit of these remnants of winter after the new year. There is still some time to enjoy hot toddies and delicious mulled wine, just make sure you really give those drinks time to cook full of flavors. When it comes to winter sports and amazing times together, nothing beats our annual ski trip up in Vermont. We really hope you can join us this year and get in as many runs on as many trails as you can. Push yourself on that mountain and then settle in for the evening with some great times together in whatever Apres-Ski style you enjoy. We have officially entered the year of the rabbit. The sign of the rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. Get yourself some red envelopes and share a gift with your fellow Stonefielders. In China, red envelopes are believed to bring good luck and happiness for the year so stuff that envelope with some good mojo and pass it along. FW22 mERCH For our semi-annual merch release, we drilled down into the senses. The two most imperative elements that make a person perceptive are their eyes and their brain. They work together in tandem to provide insight, intuition, and understanding. To emphasize those vitally important elements, we revisited two of the three senses referenced in our 2018 collaboration with Pete Leonard (the brain, eye, and hand shirts). The way we think and the way we see things are two of the frames we look at this world through: the quote was born, ‘An eye for design. A brain for engineering. A world waiting to be changed. Come winter time, we know everyone needs a good beanie to keep that head warm. What’s the saying, 93% of your body heat is lost through the noggin? (don’t fact check that please) Just saying we want you to keep that dome toasty. This latest beanie will give you some good versatility - to be worn both cuffed and uncuffed with a reversable label sporting two different logos. On one side, a simplified ‘S’ and the other, a modified version of the word, ‘Stonefield.’ Play with it, switch it up, enjoy it. And just so you know, we designed it, we sourced, we even screen-printed it this time around. Screenprinting seems to have originated in China during the Song Dynasty. A beautiful and delicate process that we hope to master in-house someday and for now, housed in the dungeon of the Rutherford office. The color palette and styling felt right so we hope you enjoyed this drop. We draw a lot of our inspiration from our local office communities and what people are rocking just simply walking down the street, so if you see a street look that you like, hit us up.

SoUp KITCHEN VoLUNTEERS Last month, a group of Stonefielders spent their night volunteering at God’s Love We Deliver preparing nutritious meals for people who suffer from a variety of critical illnesses to help alleviate hunger and malnutrition. The meals prepared in that kitchen are delivered every single day to help improve the health and well-being of men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, PTSD, and over 200 other serious conditions that prevent them from being able to cook for themselves or their families. Upon arrival, we were given masks and hair nets before recieving instruction. After washing up, gloving up, and putting on our aprons we got to work. Some of us scooped vegetables, others glazed salmon, and some of us prepared the containers that food was placed in. Once the containers were filled with fresh food, they were put through a sealer before being labeled to ensure proper distribution and avoid causing allergic reactions among some of the recipients. It was a wonderful way to give back to the community we live and work in, but it was also a ton of fun. Whether we were making new friends with other volunteers, challenging each other at who could work the fastest and most efficient, or dancing to the music being played over the speakers, we had a blast doing it all. We will absolutely be volunteering here again in the future. Perhaps even making it a monthly event.

Stonefield is officially a sponsor of the 2023 Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 11th in Manasquan, NJ. Come out to Leggets bar to ‘warm up’ before taking the plunge into the winter ocean. This fundraiser supports those suffering from ALS, so your sacrifice is going toward a good cause. The event will be followed by another ‘warm up’ session back at Leggetts. On Friday, April 21st, we’re logging off and going green! Led by Team Paris, Stonefield is celebrating Earth Day and volunteering at a local park in Rutherford, NJ. Volunteers will recieve a limited edition Stonefield Earth Day t-shirt for their service. More details to come as Spring comes closer. What could possibly be better than a dance party on a spin bike for a good cause? Grab your pom poms and get ready for the ride of your life! Stonefield has formed a cycling team, appropriately named ‘The Rolling Stones.’ Join the Rolling Stones on Friday, April 28th from 6-10 pm to cycle and help raise money funding research for rare forms of cancer. The event will be held at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). The Rolling Stones have reserved two bikes, with space for 4-8 participants on each bike.
For anybody who is interested in voluntering their time either on their own or with other Stonefielders - we highly encourage you to do so. Not only was this experience beneficial to those on the recieving end of the meals, but it was such a humbling reminder for volunteers to be thankful for our own health and well-being. If you’d like to dedicate just two hours of your own time, it makes a difference.
