TUNES For our third year of mixtapes, we entered each of your names into a random generator, and 12 lucky individuals were chosen. The first batter up gave us their ‘2022 Rookie of the Year.’ Their playlist was a combination of rap and indie. Strangely enough, this rookie also picked a song titled, ‘My 24th Birthday,’ despite not yet turning 24. If you haven’t yet immersed yourself in the glory of Gunna on Mixtape 029, do so ASAP. Together, two Stonefielders joined forces to bring us Mixtape 030. Despite it being a collaboration, the joint effort was actually one of the most thematically cohesive playlists to date. It’s almost like these two sit right next to each other in the office. With everything from The Clash to The Killers, this truly was the ultimate indie rock playlist. For the month of March, somebody inspired us all with this early morning tranquility playlist. They took us on a ride through their morning routine with South Florida beaches in our minds and peace in our hearts. They also included a poem with his playlist titled, ‘first light.’ This poem features one line from each of the songs on this playlist totalling 20 lines. If you haven’t listened, be sure to set your alarm bright and early, then hit play and watch how much work you get done. The fourth installment of the 2023 mixtape series was brought to us by somebody in Princeton. If you haven’t listened yet, close your eyes and imagine you’re in a hot pink Barbie convertible doing donuts in the mall parking lot. Besides the tires screeching, that other sound you hear is Mixtape 032. Featuring Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, and Tinashe, this was one for the girls!

Those last couple April showers better be bringing some unbelievable May flowers! Welcome to Spring, 2023 fellow Stonefielders. Not a particularly snowy winter and not too many sub-zero days up in there but it is always so refreshing once Spring is here. It’s a noun for sure - Spring, but we are vibing with the word in verb-form right now. The verb ‘spring’ comes from old English, “springan” which means to leap, burst forth, fly up, spread, or grow. Now that sounds like Spring to us. It’s time to get springan Stonefield – leap, burst forth, fly up, spread, and grow that Stonefield spirit as we enter Spring of 2023. This Spring at Stonefield we have Project Stonefield coming to an office near you, live and in-person; lots of team and office outings throughout every region; and who knows, maybe even another live performance of the Stonefield Band?! Stay tuned and get springan.

Project StOnefield Tour Coming at you live and in-person, the Project Stonefield Tour will make its way to an office near you this year. The format will vary from office-to-office, from region-to-region, as our ownership team members seek to spend time with each and every person within the company. This year we have focused our discussion on HOW we do what we do. The HOW is such a big part of this path we have all chosen together. The HOW is the nature, structure and system we use to do what we do. The HOW is comprised of the little, seemingly insignificant and unimportant actions that bring any vision or passion to life. These hourly, daily actions all stitched together become the tapestry of our HOW. Beyond the structure and system is where we find our values and principles which differentiate us from other companies that do what we do. How can we improve our HOW? Your answer to that question and your execution on that answer, little-by-little, day-by-day, is how we make this whole company better. The first stop of the tour was a major success, and we look forward to bringing that same energy to each of the remaining stops.
2023 Ski trip recap Our annual ski trip was a major success this year. Everybody who made the drive up to Killington, Vermont enjoyed their weekend of winter sports accompanied by great conditions. Starting times varied between Stonefielders based on how much they drank the night before, but at 4 PM when the lifts stopped, it was all about the hot tub, sauna, and heated pool, the best way to unwind after a day of shredding. We saw some impressive runs in the terrain park and some speed demons with record breaking times from the top
of Killington Peak to the bottom with no injuries. Additional activities included chowing down on food prepared by our very own hibachi chef - as well as getting sweaty out on the dancefloor at The Pickel Barrel. It’s always a good time on the mountain. For those who missed out or were afraid they weren’t experienced enough, keep in mind a good portion of our employees’ first time skiing or snowboarding is on this trip. There is no judgement; only encouragement. The Stonefield ski trip is all about coming together as friends and having a good time.

recent volunteer events On February 11th, a group of Stonefielders gathered at Leggett’s Bar at 10 AM alongside a collection of the Jersey Shore’s finest for the age-old tradition of $2 Bud Lights and tequila shots. From there, a parade of hooligans made their way to the beach escorted by a group of bagpipe players before commencing the plunge. Group after group rushed into water so frigid, it puts Joe Rogan’s cold plunges to shame. After multiple trips in and out of the water, our Stonefielders huddled up to dry off and get warm - some of them decided the best way to warm up was with a wrestling match in the sand. Once dressed, everybody took a sunshine-filled walk to postgame at The Salty Whale for pizza, appetizers, and a toast to a great day. We’ll see you all next year! On April 21st, our Rutherford office hosted an all-day landscaping & cleanup event at the Rutherford Public Library in honor of Earth Day. Our employees, along with members of the community worked diligently to beautify the plaza by cleaning up trash, clearing out old landscaping, and giving the space a facelift in accordance to the landscape plans provided by our very own Team Paris. A very special thanks to them for taking charge in making this event happen. We also want to thank every individual who volunteered their time. We hope you all felt acomplished after a day of hard work and will continue to do you part in making this world a better place. Stonefield promises to continue to give back to the very same communities that we live and work in every day. Wear those limited Earth Day shirts with pride! After work on April 28th, The ‘Rolling Stones’ met up in Central Park for the cycling event of the century. In an effort to raise money to fund rare cancer research, hundreds of people gathered to cycle for 4 hours straight. Thanks to the energetic instructors and upbeat music, the energy in the tent was through the roof. Each member of the Stonefield team took turns riding in 30 and 60 minute shifts. By 10 PM, the feeling in our legs resembled that of the noodles we ate for dinner that night. At Cycle for Survival we heard touching stories of people fighting cancer that inspired us to ride harder and cheer louder. It’s an incredible feeling to see people triumph as they fight through the toughest battle of their lives and come out on top.
UPCOMING EVENTS After a slew of events this Winter and Spring, you can all look forward to plenty more opportunities to volunteer your time. If you’re planning to work out of Rutherford on any given Tuesday or Thursday, there will be a rotating schedule for volunteers to spend an hour down the block at the Kip Center serving lunch to seniors. This is your chance to give back to Rutherford in a wholesome and meaningful way. Please reach out to the volunteer committee if you have any questions.
