Photo taken in nature Time to emerge from hibernation mode and get ready for Spring! The temperature keeps bouncing up and down but we’re optimistic that in the coming weeks it will be time for some beautiful Spring days. Outdoor recreation here we come! Outdoor basketball, the return of Stonefield Softball, running, dog walking, hiking, let’s get it going! A return to communal life and activity is what springtime is all about so let’s get after it. Any ideas you have to get your Stonefield team members outdoors and enjoying what our communities have to offer are welcome! Much like the photo above, Spring is all about blooming; and Stonefield is in full bloom. Each team is blossoming right before our eyes. As new leaders emerge, teams begin to grow both outward and upward, and our ability to work together improves, we become stronger and more deeply rooted than ever before. There are many things to look forward to as the weather starts warming up. You can find the Summer Orientation Schedule on the back if this newsletter. Although no official announcements have been made yet, there are rumors of more game shows in the coming months. Will he channel his inner Steve Harvey? Gene Rayburn? Stay tuned!

Princeton curling recap On March 18th, history was made in Plainfield, NJ. The Stonefield Curling team made their Olympic debut on the ice for the first time ever. The Plainfield Curling Club was founded in 1963 by Canadian Expats; originally played on a frozen river - before the crazy Canadaians constructed their own 2-bay rink that our olympians had the privilige to curl on. It is the original and only curling club in the state of New Jersey (State Champs since 1963)

At 3 o’clock, our Olympians officially hit the ice. The victory was driven by the team’s robust sweeping ability and expert marksmanship curling the rock. After the match, the winning team was told they had played their way to becoming the favorite to take the gold in the 2026 Winter Olympic games hosted in Italy. Some post-game reports we’ve been hearing are that somebody was asked by the club staff to join their league who meets every Wednesday night for practice. We also heard through the grapevine that somebody may be putting up the gloves early and retiring from engineering to persue their real dream; taking home the gold in curling. Of course, all of this is up for debate. Despite the skeptics, there is one thing we do know; the real battle exists between the Plainfield Curling Club and the city. The club has a dream of adding a third bay, but parking variance stands in their way. Perhaps Stonefield can solve that issue in exchange for a free season?

Project stonefield RECAP On March 24, 2022 we came together once again for Project Stonefield. As employees from Rutherford, Princeton, New York City, and Salem began flooding the Williams Center, we quickly filled every seat, maxing out the capacity of the theater. That might have been the first time in many years Marcus Hall was filled with so many people! What we felt seeing everybody’s face up in the stands together is indescribable - especially after two years of separation. We welcome the creation of 3 new teams; Zebra (Planning), Paris (Landscape Architecture), and Indigo (Engineering Operations). Meaningful and powerful continued growth. Whether we are growing as individuals, as a team, or as a company, we are growing. The key takeaway from the event was how our values here at Stonefield are completely intertwined with growth. Growth both upward and outward; much like a tree. As we hire new employees and current employees continue to grow within their own roles, the Stonefield Tree continues to expand, add branches, and bear fruit into something truly spectacular. With each branch comes new opportunities and with each opportunity comes a new way to change the game. As we all learned during the presentation, no ‘question mark’ is out of question. Each and every bubble will be transformed into a new team. It is up to all of us to step up as leaders in our own unique way and to teach those around us. As long as every single member of Stonefield is working toward the same goal, nothing is out of reach. Replace yourself.

NJ devils vs. ny rangers Last month, 25 lucky Stonefielders made their way to Prudential Center to see the Devils host the Rangers. The pregame warmup took place across the street at Redd’s Biergarten for liters of delicious German Beer. Once the team was warmed up, we made our way to our seats along with some chicken tenders of course. The first period was looking really good for the Rangers fans - they were up 2-0 on the Devils with a goal from Mika Zibanejad and Adam Fox. It was the second period when things really went South for the Rangers. The Devils scored 5 straight, unanswered goals. Typically, there is nothing more annoying than a Jersey fan, but the real annoyance came from the sound of the sirens that went off every time the Devils scored. The sirens paired with the sound of Ric Flair yelling ‘WOOOOOOOO’ made for quite the experience. Speaking of experience, this was our very own Aaron Chan’s first ever professional hockey game. A third period comeback was a tall order for the Rangers. They had a 3-goal-deficit to dig themselves out of and after two back to back goals from Jack Hughes of the Devils, there wasn’t a chance the Rangers could come back. After those last few Ric Flair ‘WOOOOOOOO’s’ the Devils had officially won 7-4. Once the stands cleared, Stonefield hit the ice to get their photo on the logo. Some of us walked while others moonwalked their way to center ice. Were we the most well-behaved? Debatable. Did we all agree on who we wanted to win? No chance. Were we the best looking group? Absolutely. We blew every other group away worse than the Devils blew out the Rangers! Once we slid off the ice on our stomachs, we made our way back across the street to Redd’s for more post-game beers.
