Whether you love all-season-sun and warm temperatures or you like the changing of the leaves, the Autumn season brings change to every one of our Stonefield communities. In some of our offices such as Salem - it is extremely pronounced in nature around us. In our other communities, we might not experience the season so much in the trees and their leaves as much as we do in our traditions and Fall events. Spirit Halloween stores start to bloom in early October - even down in Florida. Most of our offices reset the clock to develop a different relationship with sun-up and sun-down each morning and night. Our clients, (especially of a certain age) start to migrate down South and out West for warmer weather. And “pumpkin spice” seems to find its way into just about everything. What Autumn or Pre-Winter traditions and routines have you seen in your community? Share it with us, point it out to a fellow Stonefielder, and most important, remain open so you can experience it for yourself. In some places you may have to look and listen harder than others, but it’s there. And yes, there is a mention of the Roman Empire, even in this edition of the Newsletter. You can’t escape it.
Feeling nostalgic? For Mixtape 035 Team Sierra took us back in time before the year 2000. Their playlist features 90’s hip-hop classics from coast to the coast. If you’re ever in need of a playlist to get you through a grueling workout, or just need to get pumped up - this one’s for you. It features some of the hardest hitting songs from DMX and Mobb Deep to Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. Nothing compares to the Golden Age of hip hop! Stonefield effortlessly combined their favorite dad classics with some of the South’s trap GOAT’s on Mixtape 036. Who would have thought Young Thug and Steely Dan could exist on the same playlist? Not us! This playlist features rock classics from Led Zeppelin and The Strokes fused together with newage classics from Mac Miller and Drake. Check it out if you’re ever wondering what a boy from Vermont listens to. If you didn’t get your 90’s hip-hop fix back in July, we made sure to run it back a second time with a curation of Brooklyn classics on Mixtape 037. Whether they were friends growing up or just musicians we’re a fan of - this playlist features some of Brooklyn’s finest. Biggie, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang - need we say more? Play this back to back with Mixtape 035 and you’ve got yourself 2 hours of nonstop hip-hop. For the month of October, Stonefield took us on a wild roller coaster of emotions sure to bring a tear to your eye. Like a movie - Mixtape 038 has it’s ups and it’s downs. Starting with Shakira and Bad Bunny, the tempo eventually comes to an emotional halt when George Michael’s Careless Whisper comes on, but things begin to heat back up when Beyonce and Jay-Z’s Crazy in Love blasts through the speakers. Check it out!

2023 SUMMER PARTY RECAP This year we gathered at Asbury Park once again to celebrate the end of a successful Summer. Some of us met under the Stonefield flag to catch some rays and play some games on the beach while others elected to hang out at the convention hall for food and drinks. There were some familiar faces, some new faces, but most importantly, there was much needed face-to-face conversation between Stonefielders who don’t get to see each other often. It’s not only a treat to see our friends and coworkers, but events like this one provide the opportunity to meet their husbands, wives, friends, and families. After a beautiful afternoon - just as the sun began to set and things seemed to be cooling off, they heated back up out there on the mini-golf course. Stonefielders made their way down the boardwalk hoping for a hole-in-one at the Asbury Eighteen. Some people sunk one, others struggled, but everybody had a blast playing. We may not have left that course in a green Master’s jacket, but we did leave feeling like Tiger Woods in our hearts. Once the sun finally set, we gathered once again on the rooftop at the Watermark. Kicked back in lounge chairs, drinks in hand, we closed out the night together with great conversation before returning home. Although the warmer seasons have come to an end, we look forward to an array of exciting events this cold season. We can’t wait to see you all again!
