PREFACIO
Este folleto presenta las series mas importantes del estudio Balanza de Pagos de Puerto Rico. Las estimaciones que se presentan sirven para medir los cambios y las tendencias que reflejaron las transacciones de Puerto Rico con el resto del mundo durante los años fiscales 1960 al 1971. Algunas de estas estimaciones se han preparado a base de datos preliminares por lo cual aparecerán revisadas en publ icaciones futuras. Nuestro ,econocimiento especial a las empresas e individuos que colaboraron suministrándonos información esencial para la preparación de estas estadísticas y a las diversas agencias de los gobiernos estatal y federal sin cuya colaboración no se hubieran completado muchas de las series que se presentan en esta publicación.
FOREWORD
This bul letin presents the most relevant balance of Payments series. The estimates presented serve to measure the changes and trends reflected in the transactions of Puerto Rico with the rest of the world during fiscal years 1960 through 1971. Some of these estimates have been prepared on a prel iminary basis for which reason they will appear revi sed in future publ ications. Our sincere appreciation to the private enterprises and individuals that colaborated with us by supplying essential information needed in the preparation of these statistical series. Deepest thanks also go to the Commonwealth and Federal agencies whose cooperation aided in the completion.of several of the series presented.
