Territory Summary Paraguay is a landlocked country located in the heart of South America, and is bordered by Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia. The Paraguay River runs north to south through the western region, dividing the country into two distinct geographic regions: the Gran Chaco and the Eastern Region.
