Catching Up with Coghlin - February 2026

Page 1

Big News! The Coghlin Builders Lab is coming to MBI!

It is with great excitement and pride that I share that the WPI / MBI BioHub project has officially been awarded funding by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative! This funding will support innovative renovations at MBI’s 17 Briden Street headquarters (formerly CT's founding headquarters ), including the Coghlin Builder’s Lab, a highly equipped technology incubation space dedicated to advancing Life Sciences and Medical device design and prototype development. This exciting milestone aligns deeply with our passion for supporting innovation, growth, and opportunity right here in Central Massachusetts.

We believe our pledge to this initiative reinforces our commitment to investing in the future of manufacturing, engineering talent, and entrepreneurial innovation, as well as our four-generation philosophy of giving back to the community that has given our family so much. We view this as an opportunity to help shape the next generation of MedTech and hardware solutions, strengthen our regional ecosystem, and support the innovators and builders who will drive tomorrow’s cures and equipment breakthroughs.

We’re overwhelmingly excited to be part of this collaboration and look forward to capturing the deep-rooted history of Columbia Tech, Cogmedix, and The Coghlin Companies in this world-class new space in a very powerful and visually innovative way, reviving WHERE IT ALL BEGAN!

We cannot wait to show you all the before and after photos!!

Together we raised an incredib r Pernet Family Health Service, helping provide holiday me AMILIES in our community!

Our Annual Holiday Toy Drive with the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester was a huge success thanks to our amazing team! Toy and gift card donations poured in, helping spread holiday cheer and make a real difference for local families in our community.

$1000 was donated to Special Olympics Rhode Island, a non-profit organization that provides over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 3,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. R

STAYING SAFE TOGETHER THIS WINTER

WA T C H Y O U R S T E P

Walk carefully on icy surfaces, stick to treated paths, wipe your feet, and report slick areas right away.

F I G H T T H E F L U

Wash hands often (20 seconds!), especially after sneezing, using shared tools, or visiting high-traffic areas and stay home if you’re sick.

L I F T S M A R T

Use your legs, keep loads close, avoid twisting, and ask for help or team up when needed.

AWA R E N E S S

A little extra awareness and a few good habits go a long way in keeping everyone safe, healthy, and winter-ready!

Winter in New England brings icy walkways, heavy snow, and cold-season germs. This season, we’re focusing on simple ways to keep our Coghlin community safe and healthy: preventing slips and falls, lifting smart, staying alert, and keeping ahead of cold and flu season.

Since 1885, how many buildings have Coghlin Companies and it’s subsidiaries operated out of? Include current buildings in your guess!

Supporting one of our longest-standing customers behind the semiconductor industry’s most advanced single-wafer high-current implanter...a huge shout-out to the incredible team at Building 125 and all the milestones you have accomplished!

The Assisted Bagger automatically inflates bags at the Fulfillment Center, helping improve packing efficiency while reducing manual effort for associates. A great milestone that supports smoother, safer operations. Congratulations to the team who brought it to life!

The first Sparrow Robot Arm build is complete! Designed with advanced AI and computer vision, Sparrow can handle millions of items across countless shapes, sizes, and materials, bringing next-level automation to fulfillment operations. Outstanding work by the entire team!

We successfully built 150 ALCOR PRO units, bringing us to a total of 1,334 units for all ALCOR Analyzers (including PRO, ISED, and MINI)...an excellent team effort!

What’s happening at Building 10?! Autonomous pallet jacks on the move! 24 units shipped in just two weeks, our 50th CPJ dispatched, and a newly upgraded testing environment supporting six CPJs at once (up from one). Check out the video to see!
