Vol. 2 | Summer 2026

WELCOME The summer season has been intense, record heatwaves included, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The past few months have been a whirlwind of big moves. We pulled off the launch of a first-of-its-kind event which fused traditional county show heritage with modern festival energy, and we pushed through a brutal 24-hour walk to raise over £4,500 for Yellow Wellies and Farms for City Children - and that was just at the beginning of the summer! A massive thank you to our clients, our community, and the whole Coate PR team for bringing the energy, keeping it real, and making it all happen.

Best wishes,

April

Q2 WRAPPED We’ve been out in the field ensuring our clients take centre stage at the summer’s biggest dates on the calendar. Here are the highlights:

Farm-Fest: We launched a one-of-a-kind hybrid event that fused traditional county show heritage with raw festival energy. It was an unmissable weekend! On the show circuit: Our team was on the ground delivering client support at The Royal Cornwall Show, Cereals, Groundswell, the Great Yorkshire Show & the Royal Welsh Show. The Game Fair: We were back at Ragley Hall for our third Game Fair. It was high energy, major crowds, and an unforgettable weekend driving the future of country events. Spoiled by our clients: Huge thank you to the Tractor Ted team for surprising us with Nyetimber bubbles. It hit the spot perfectly. Walking the walk for Farm24: Blisters aside, April took on a brutal 24-hour walk alongside the Farmers Guardian team to drive real impact for Yellow Wellies and Farms for City Children. Thank you to everyone who has supported and donated – we raised over £4,500! Team lunch: When the heat spiked, we downed tools for the afternoon and headed to a local favourite, The Pig at Barnsley. Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials Preview Day: We hosted a select group of media, influencers and sponsors for an exclusive preview of the cross-country course by horse-drawn carriage, complemented by a behind-the-scenes tour of the Kitchen Garden and Butterfly House.

COUNTRY LIVING Based in the heart of Somerset, surrounded by real country life, Senior PR Consultant Kim Forster lives and breathes rural culture. Having worked alongside April for over 12 years, Kim brings sharp comms expertise and zero fluff. Below, she shares a few of her absolute favourite local gems.

In the stables

On the table

On the shelf

On the vanity

Many people relocate to the countryside to keep horses at home, which influenced our move to Somerset. One of my favourite morning moments is seeing their heads over the stable doors from my bedroom window.

I love having friends over for the weekend and planning every detail of the food, wine, and entertainment. My current go-to is Le Baume Piquepoul Sauvignon Blanc for the perfect wine for the table.

I recently joined a book club and have met some of the kindest and genuinely hilarious women imaginable. We’re currently reading And So I Roar by Abi Daré.

I’m a huge skincare fanatic and I’ve recently been loving the UpCircle Peptide Serum with Custard Apple & Blood Orange which helps improve skin elasticity.

On screen

The indulgence

The fun fact

I have just finished watching Kabul which was an incredible look at the withdrawal of the military and I’m about the start Vigil.

Somerset is an incredible spot for walking, whether I'm out with Digby, our Springador, or hosting friends from out of town. I recently picked up a book for extra inspiration and can't wait to hit the trails.

Country living brings plenty of wildlife, though not all of it is welcome. The most memorable visitor was a stray ferret. Dubbed Freddie, he spent two weeks charming our little lane before disappearing, truly hope he made it back to his family.

The gastronomic experience The Newt has greatly enhances my local food scene. I discover something new with every visit, regardless of the season or company. Living nearby offers a membership discount, making it a top favourite, even without dogs and horses allowed.

A FINAL NOTE That’s a wrap on our biggest summer yet. Looking back through the campaign launches, the field days, and the 24-hour blisters, I’m constantly reminded why we do this. We’re out here in the field with you, driving momentum for the brands shaping the future of rural life. A massive thank you to our brilliant team for setting the pace, and to our clients for trusting us. Autumn is already shaping up to be just as busy, and we’re ready for it. As always, if you want to chat strategy, grab a coffee, or bounce a big idea around, our door is always open. - April
