nothing too strenuous as it winds its way through the sandy forest. There is a nice viewpoint with a wooden platform and bench with nice views over the lake.
A few more gentle hills later you crest a ridge top with some more great views of the lake and ocean views on the other side. Eventually the Red Gum trail ends and becomes the Lilly Pilly Loop, take a left here, then shortly after another left onto the Burrawang Track to head back to the parking area.
There are tons of other great loops in the park to explore if you have time, and keep an eye out for wildlife, on a lucky day you might see Black Cockatoos, Lace Monitors, or even a Diamond Python
