Furry friends – with their human companions close by – excitedly bound into the new Monte Vista off-leash dog park during the off-leash area’s grand opening on Saturday, April 20. The grand opening was hosted by the city of Carpinteria and Carpinteria Dog Owners Group (C-DOG); C-DOG members have been vocal supporters of off-leash dog spaces in Carpinteria over the past several years, and C-DOG President Van Fleisher told CVN earlier this month that the group is excited about the new off-leash area at Monte Vista. The park, located at the north end of Bailard Avenue in Carpinteria, is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 30 minutes before sunset.
