Carpinteria senior goaltender Stefano Piccoletti, pictured, has been the anchor of the Warriors’ defense early this season, coming up with key saves as the boys water polo team battles through a challenging tournament schedule. Piccoletti helped Carpinteria pick up two wins at the Malibu Tournament, including a 14-12 victory over Newbury Park, and collected 19 saves over two hard-fought matches on the tournament’s second day. The Warriors finished the weekend 2-2 as they continue to sharpen their game for the regular season ahead. Read more about Carpinteria sports on pages 25 and 26 of this week’s print.
