Lynch Farm project gets key approval from Frankford By Kerin Magill Staff Reporter

The Frankford Town Council gave a green light this week to preliminary plans for a development that would add hundreds of new homes to the town. The council voted unanimously at their July 7 meeting to approve the plans for the property formerly known as the Lynch Farm. The property is bordered by Clayton Avenue and Route 113 and is dissected by railroad tracks. Steve Fortunato of Bohler Engineering presented the preliminary plans for development of the property, which include 460 homes. The plans call for 265 townhomes on the east side of the property and nearly 200 single-family and villa-style homes on the west side. Fortunato said the villas are larger townhomes. He told the council there will be two access points from Clayton Avenue into the development, which is currently slated to be built by Ryan Homes. He See APPROVAL page 4

The Town of Fenwick Island hosted around 400 guests at the annual Fenwick Island Bonfire on Saturday, July 5. The event, which serves as a fundraiser for the Fenwick Island Beach Patrol as well as a fun community gathering, raised $15,500 (before expenses) for the FIBP's entries in the United States Lifesaving Association's National Championships.
