“A Legacy of PGA Professionals. A Century of Growth.” Celebrating 1926-2026
Five unique elements have been designed to connect PGA Professionals, golf enthusiasts, and the public across Central New York Each is designed to honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future
1 Centennial Webpage where we will host archived videos, historical information while allowing our members and the golfing public to share stories.
2.Centennial Video Series - “Decades of Golf”. Each decade will have a short feature combining archived photos and videos covering various milestones and cultural moments in golf
3 Centennial Goosechase Challenge - “The Centennial Quest” App designed scavenger hunt across golf courses, landmarks and PGA facilities Tasks will include visiting courses, taking selfies at partner locations, trivia questions based on our history and fun mini-challenges at Centennial Events.
4.Centennial Celebration Golf Event. Monday, July 13th at Binghamton CC. 10AM Shotgun start, scramble format for all members, invited guests and partners of the CNY PGA. The goal is to promote camaraderie amongst the membership all while honoring the past, celebrating the present and inspiring future generations of PGA golf professionals
5 Centennial Digital Issued Magazine - “100 Years of Golf: The Legacy of the Central New York PGA” Designed to encapsulate major moments and signature milestones, interviews and stories from the CNY PGA membership, photos, documents and memorabilia along with a timeline of golf evolution in CNY.
Our Spring and Fall Meeting along with our Annual Holiday Banquet provide us additional opportunities to promote and celebrate our “Century of Excellence”

THE TOURNAMENT SEASON IS ALMOST HERE!
We are only a month away from the start of our 2026 season!
Our first event of the season will be our Spring ProPro/Pro-Individual on Monday, May 11th.
This year’s event is hosted by Cazenovia Country Club. The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 6th at 11:59pm. Limited spots available.

It has been over 50 years since the US has gone to the moon, and 100 years since the Central New York PGA began! Does that make us cooler than NASA? I guess that shows budget constraints don’t discriminate against any business.

I would like to personally thank every person that has shared history with me over the past several months.
