Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture

In 2021, the CNFA-implemented Amalima Loko program undertook a natural resource management (NRM) barriers and motivation study to understand what leads to or prevents the adoption of improved NRM practices by households, communities, market actors, and government entities. The Amalima Loko program is a five-year USAID/Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA)-funded Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA) designed to improve food and nutrition security in Zimbabwe through increased food access and sustainable watershed management. The program is implemented in Matabeleland North by a consortium led by CNFA and comprised of the Organisation of Rural Associations for Progress, Dabane Water Workshops, The Manoff Group, International Medical Corps, and Mercy Corps.
