Looking Ahead at La Costa
As another year quickly passes, we are proud and excited to prepare for hosting our third NCAA Women’s and Men’s Golf Championships. This prestigious event provides a unique opportunity to showcase our Club and Resort on a national if not global—stage, and it is a milestone that all members can take pride in.
Paired with the recent announcement of Tripp Davis leading the redesign of the South Course, there is a renewed sense of enthusiasm surrounding the future of Omni La Costa Resort & Spa and the overall member experience.
A member recently asked how these developments benefit those who may not be avid golfers. While the impact may not be immediately felt by everyone, these initiatives clearly reflect ownership’s commitment to elevating the Club and Resort into one of the most compelling resort-based private club experiences in the country and a standout within the Omni portfolio.
We hope you received our communication yesterday outlining “What to Expect During the NCAA.” As a reminder, advance ticket reservations are required this year, and wristbands will be necessary for on-course viewing. Please be sure to secure your access in advance.
Beyond the excitement of the tournament, May and June offer a full calendar of events for members to enjoy. From Bob’s Uncorked and Mother’s Day Brunch to Chef’s & Friends, The Killer Dueling Pianos, Comedy Night, a Padres outing, and the Member/Member tournament, there are plenty of opportunities to connect, celebrate, and kick off the summer season together.
As we approach Memorial Day Weekend and the start of the summer season, we kindly remind members of our Summer Pool Policies. Each member may bring one registered guest per day for a fee of $10. Please note that guests are not permitted at Splash or Edge pools on weekends and holidays. Members should be prepared to present their membership ID (physical or digital), and valid age identification is required for access to the 21+ Edge Pool. To ensure a positive experience for all, please refrain from saving seats, bringing outside food and beverage, or decorating cabanas without prior coordination with our Recreation Team.
Finally, we ask all members to uphold the values that define our community kindness, courtesy, and cooperation so that everyone can enjoy the Club to the fullest.

for the 2026 Memorial Cup on Saturday, May 2nd, celebrating the of the La Costa Men’s Golf Association. This North vs. South SCGATeam ent features a 9:00 AM shotgun start on the North Course, with teams by captains Deberry/Dohrmann (North) and Baker/Hearn (South).
o all MGA members, the $60 entry includes a team shirt, lunch, and plus a $50 mandatory cash buy-in. Each foursome will compete in two ual matches and one team match for a total of 6 points.

Step onto the South Course for a playful twist on the game you know. Summer Footgolf invites guests of all ages to kick their way across the fairways at golden hour, blending the spirit of soccer with the setting of championship golf. Available Tuesdays through Thursdays from June 11 through July 19, this 9-hole experience takes place on the front nine of the South Course, with tee times beginning at 4:00 PM.
Members enjoy complimentary play. Member guests are welcome at $50 per person. Reservations include a golf cart and soccer ball.
