“It’s been another fantastic month for Kicks. Since September 2025, we’ve engaged 450 unique participants, with 150 young people competing in tournaments and 140 taking part in our educational workshops. We’ve also proudly supported 54 participants with SEND, ensuring our sessions remain inclusive and accessible to all. Throughout the month, participants have taken part in a variety of exciting challenges to win prizes. We had a ‘Kicks v Inspires’ match as part of our Community Day (and to celebrate 20 years of PL Kicks) at the Blackpool match, and this months Youth Voice Session was on knife crime. We hope to see some new faces joining us at sessions as summer approaches.”
Thank you for your continued support, Coops

It’s really important to us that all Kicks participants across Doncaster have their say as to how sessions are run, what they contain, what works and doesn’t work...and what benefit they get from these sessions. We regularly hold these Youth Voice Sessions at the start of play to enable us to provide the very best delivery possible going forwards for young people in our communities.
This month, we were pleased to invite Anthony from Always an Alternative to our Mexborough session at Laurel to spread awareness around reducing knife crime in Doncaster. Before the football kicked off, there was a chat and activity based around their feelings about knife crime, how safe they felt locally and the consequenses of carrying weapons.
Thanks Anthony, and thanks lads!

As part of the Club Doncaster Foundation Community Day 2026, and to celebrate 20 years of Premier League Kicks, we held a special game on the 4G before the match.
Our Scawthorpe Kicks group were invited to play a Premier League Inspires group from De Warenne Academy, where they ran out 9-1 winners in a game that was played exactly in the right spirit.
A Youth Voice Session was held afterwards in the Sports College and penalties were taken on the pitch at half-time. Oh, and Rovers took all three points. Good day that!!!

Premier League Kicks uses the power of football and sport to inspire young people to The programme creates opportunities for young people who are at risk of anti-social behaviour, youth violence and/or from high need areas to regularly engage in football, sport, mentoring and personal development

Launched in 2006 as a collaboration between the Premier League and the Metropolitan Police to create safer and more inclusive communities, Premier League Kicks has had a significant impact on people and places for 20 years.
We recently trialled our brand shiny new darts night, ‘Kicks on Target’ in the Belle Vue Bar at the Eco-Power Stadium. The night was a great success and we were joined by a few special guests, including DRFC owner Terry Bramall and First Team Manager Grant McCann.
