At the meeting, our new President, Bob, presented the member survey results… and Cody showed off his President-Elect pin.

First Meeting of the New Kiwanis Year A HUGE thanks to Bob Munger for the hard work he put into preparing for the very informative presentation at Wednesday’s meeting. He went over the results of the Member Survey that we took a couple of months ago. Sixteen members answered the survey. There was a scoring process that quantified the answers. Out of 30 line-items, the scores indicated that we had 3 areas of concern. They were… the community viewing us as a major asset; the club being seen as an advantage for children in the community and the club using grants and partnerships. Bob asked AI to analyze the member comments. Check out Page 3 of this newsletter to see what AI considered the most critically important comments/suggestions. These thoughts were organized into 5 general questions which are as follows. What do you enjoy most about being a member of our club? What makes our club special? If you could change one thing about our club, what would it be? What do you wish our club would start doing? Additional comments or thoughts? Besides the presentation, it was also nice to see Bob pass out officer pins that he picked up at the District Convention.

October DCM We got off to a slightly rocky start, because there was trouble setting up the Zoom program. But, after that, things went smoothly. Our new Lt. Governor, Thomas Hrabal, did a great job conducting the meeting. Siyi and Abner, Division 64 and 65 Key Club LTGs, presented an informative slide show, and Bob M. shared lots of details about our club’s activities!

Key Clubbers Distributed TOT boxes Eight Key Clubbers visited 18 businesses this past week to ask them to put Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF boxes near their cash registers during the month of October. Frank’s BBQ for KDCCP had 88 people there and raised approximately

ODHS Free Food Market

Free Food Market Last Monday, George volunteered at the ODHS Free Food Market. He says that you need to show up between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. and you are done around 3:00. They handed out food to about 120 people in approximately one hour. They do this at 10777 SW Cascade Ave. on the first Monday of every month. George plans to volunteer next month. Anyone else want to join him? If so, let Sue know so she can sign you up with the organization.

Winter Warm Up On Thursday, Sue traveled to Hillsboro to help distribute warm, winter clothing to families in need. It was a very heartwarming experience and there were approximately 200 people who showed up! One highlight of the event was the live music performance.

Trunk-or-Treat Plan to help on Wednesday, October 28th with their Trunk-or-Treat event. Let’s see if we can get a group to travel together to 5300 NE Elam Young Pkwy., in Hillsboro. We will need to be there from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
