The student presentations at the Key Club District Convention Recap were inspiring. One common theme was that attending the convention helped them to realize just how big was the impact of Key Club. Our Kiwanis was well represented by Jaclynn, who spoke about the connections between Kiwanis and Key Club. She mentioned how important it was for the clubs to do joint projects. George talked about the Kiwanis Doernbecher Children’s Cancer Program and about the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp. He shared interesting details about the history of both organizations. It was also great to see so many parents and family members attend.

Thank you to Cary Solberg for securing tickets for our club. Six members were there in support of the program. The evening was a huge success, with both a silent and live auction, and a raffle, There is also an online auction that ends at noon on Monday. Click HERE to check it out!

• If you know of a child who likes to have his/her face painted, our Key Clubbers will also be there at our booth, with a table to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

• Program: Gail Spurrel, Board member of PNWK Foundation and professional fundraiser. Her topic will be “Fundraising”.

Don’t forget to vote for the 2026-27 club officer slate. You can vote at the May 6th meeting, or via email by May 5th .

Check out last week’s newsletter to see the officer slate. Also, expect an email on Sunday, detailing the list one final time. You may vote via electronic means, if you will not be attending the lunchtime meeting at Murrayhill Taphouse on Wednesday. You vote “Yes” or “No” for the entire slate.

We are collecting new or gently used children’s books to give to CPAH. You can bring them to the May 6th or May 13th meeting.

• Don’t have any books to share? You can donate cash for book shopping, if you wish!

• $5 will get a whole bag of books at next Sunday’s Beaverton Library sale! If you want to take advantage of this offer, Sue will shop for you.

Celebrating 25 years of Community Warehouse at Chair Affair was incredible. Thanks to our generous community, we exceeded our fundraising goal by 15%, raising more than $400,000 to support our work this year. At the heart of our mission is a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves a home that feels like their own.

Thank you to our foursome team of Bob Bell, John Brookens, Frank Morehouse and Bill Pennell, each willing to spend $200 to register for this event, which is happening on May 29th . Registration is ongoing right now.
