This auction was a really good idea for a fundraiser that seems to be doing less well than the directors hoped. I assume that, since they set a goal of 300 bids, they were hoping for close to that number. I realize that the current economy dictates spending choices for many of us. Most of the high-end trips are probably out of our members’ capabilities to afford. But there are several items offered that are within price range for a lot of us. Have you checked to see what is being offered? Many items have no bids at all. You could get something for the minimum bid… which is set for less than the item’s value! And, if you find something you want, and must bid over the item’s value, then remember what your money is being spent to do! If you haven’t yet gone onto the site, I urge you to do so either today, or tomorrow. You might be surprised to see the variety of choices being auctioned off… For example, there are movie theater gift cards, AAA membership, rodeo tickets, a trip on the Willamette Queen, and so much more! Time is running out to support this VERY WORTHY cause.
