Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp Service On Friday, four of our members traveled the 2-hour drive to be at the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp for their very last evening of the 2026 season! When we got there, we were put to work in the kitchen doing everything from baking cookies to making pasta salad. We helped set up long serving tables outside, and then served a BBQ hamburgers/hotdogs dinner, with all the condiments, three types of salads, watermelon and cookies! While we were working, we were treated to the famous MHKC “Campfire Show”. After the meal, the MHKC Staff Infection Band played “camp songs” while our members helped break everything down and take it back to the kitchen. It was a wonderfully fulfilling service project. We felt needed, helping to create a memorable evening for the 200+ people who were there that night. There were two other volunteers who showed up to help, and surprisingly, they were our own LTG, Delanie Delimont and her husband!
At-A-Glance
The last Gnome recipient, Sue, took him to the Hillsboro Tuesday Night Market… and he got to do his first service project! He was a well behaved, “changed gnome!” At Wednesday’s meeting, the Gnome was passed on to Bob M. He says that “in his household, we can expect it to be mischievous, again!”
We all got a thrill from watching the video of Anthony’s race-car-driver-experience on his recent family vacation in Germany. At one point the car got up to 225 MPH. Anthony and his son, Mateu, gave us a great presentation!

Take a trip to the Tigard Farmers Market this Sunday and check out our table. We’ll be there from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
