It is my pleasure to welcome you to The Beaconsfield School. We are a smaller than average secondary school, which means our dedicated staff really know each student well.
Everything we do here at TBS is underpinned by our five core values, these are Respect, Hardwork, Responsibility, Community and Empathy. Our values inform our whole school approach to rewards and behaviour for learning as well as sitting at the heart of how each member of our school works together, students and staff alike.
We have high aspirations for your child, and we believe that it is our job to ensure your child has high aspirations of themselves too, so that they can thrive both within and outside the classroom.
Should your child choose to join us they can expect a broad and challenging curriculum throughout their time with us and a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities. Developing confident, responsible young people who actively enjoy school and see the value in learning, to secure happy and fulfilling futures is at the heart of what we do as a school.

Providing an Ambitious Curriculum
Our goal is to equip children to be successful adults in an ever changing modern world.
Our curriculum is therefore broad, balanced and challenging in equal measure.
Staff take every opportunity to develop students skills of communication, collaboration and resilience.
Students study a two year Key stage 3 curriculum, selecting GCSE options at the end of Year 8. At Key stage 4 all students follow an academic core, however, our options process is personalised to allow students to follow the right pathway for them as individuals.

Realising Academic Potential
We are unashamedly ambitious for our students.
While school is more than exam results, we are clear with students that working hard is a pre-requisite to being successful in their examinations.
Our Striving Stars programme caters for the most able students, offering individual mentoring and access to an extensive range of super curricular opportunities.

Opportunities for all
The school offers a huge range of extra-curricular and enrichment choices.
This includes over 20 weekly clubs, ranging from sporting activities to reading ambassador, coding club, Drama club and community languages.
The school offers the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Bronze, Silver
Our House system fosters friendly competition between students and staff and provides many opportunities for students to simply have fun whilst at school.
