Digital Humanities majors are able to work with pioneering faculty in the field of public humanities on projects such as Cleveland Historical, Cleveland Voices, Green Book Cleveland, MaCleKi, Queer Cleveland and more. They gain experience working with multiple digital platforms and tools in creating digital historical content. They have opportunities to participate in internships with local businesses and institutions such as the Cleveland Museum of Art, Western Reserve Historical Society, and regional historical sites and museums, among others.
These projects demonstrate the breadth and depth of possibilities within digital humanities and are grounded in historical thinking and information literacy. Hands-on experience extends beyond the classroom to the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities and the Cleveland Teaching Collaborative.
