¿POR QUÉ EL AGUA DE UNA PISCINA CAMBIA DE COLOR?

Al diseñar una piscina, la atención suele centrarse en la forma, el tamaño o el entorno. Sin embargo, hay un elemento esencial que a menudo pasa desapercibido: el color del fondo.

Porque el agua no tiene color.

Lo que percibimos es el resultado de la luz al reflejarse sobre el revestimiento interior de la piscina. La elección del material y del tono influye directamente en el resultado final, transformando la atmósfera de todo el espacio exterior.

Un acabado en tonos beige o arena, inspirado en lugares como las Maldivas, genera colores turquesa suaves. El resultado es natural, cálido y recuerda a una laguna, integrándose perfectamente en el paisaje mediterráneo.

When designing a swimming pool, most attention is given to shape, size or surroundings. Yet one essential element is often overlooked: the color of the pool itself.

Because water has no color.

What we perceive is the result of light reflecting off the pool’s interior surface. The choice of material and tone directly influences the final appearance, transforming the atmosphere of the entire outdoor space.

A light beige or sandy finish, often inspired by places like the Maldives, creates soft turquoise tones. The result feels natural, warm and almost lagoon-like, blending seamlessly with Mediterranean landscapes.

Darker tones, such as grey or anthracite, produce deeper blues. The water appears more intense, more reflective, sometimes almost mirror-like. This type of finish gives a pool a more contemporary and architectural presence.

En un momento en el que el ruido de las grandes ciudades parece imponerse sobre cualquier intento de pausa, la galería PFZ presenta su nueva exposición en Jávea. Un lugar donde el arte nos invita a huir de la rutina.

Su colección “SOS” parte de una imagen profundamente simbólica: las torres de vigilancia y salvamento de las playas de Jávea. Desde esta referencia tan reconocible del paisaje mediterráneo, PFZ construye una metáfora contemporánea sobre la necesidad urgente de refugio. Un refugio emocional, creativo y humano frente al vértigo de la vida humana.

“SOS” no habla únicamente de rescate físico, sino de algo más profundo: la búsqueda de un lugar donde detenerse y reconectar, el Mediterráneo. En este contexto, Jávea no aparece como un destino, sino como una respuesta. Un entorno donde la naturaleza toma el protagonismo y se convierte en motor de inspiración artística.

At a time when the noise of big cities seems to overwhelm any attempt at a pause, the PFZ gallery presents its new exhibition in Jávea. A place where art invites us to escape the routine.

Its “SOS” collection begins with a profoundly symbolic image: the lifeguard towers on Jávea’s beaches. From this recognizable feature of the Mediterranean landscape, PFZ constructs a contemporary metaphor about the urgent need for refuge. An emotional, creative, and human refuge from the vertigo of human life.

“SOS” speaks not only of physical rescue, but of something deeper: the search for a place to stop and reconnect, the Mediterranean. In this context, Jávea appears not as a destination, but as an answer. An environment where nature takes center stage and becomes a driving force for artistic inspiration.

UNA GALERÍA

QUE TAMBIÉN ES PATRIMONIO

PFZ no es sólo un espacio expositivo. Es también una experiencia arquitectónica y emocional.

La galería se ubica en una CasaPalacio del centro histórico de Jávea. Un edificio de finales del siglo XIX que ha sido restaurado respectando cuidadosamente su esencia original. Lejos de intervenir de forma invasiva, el proyecto ha recuperado el esplendor de la construcción, permitiendo que sus muros sigan contando su propia historia. Situada junto al Museo Arqueológico de Jávea, la galería se integra en uno de los enclaves más significativos del casco antiguo.

Visitar PFZ no es únicamente contemplar arte contemporáneo, sino también recorrer la memoria del lugar.

Cada estancia invita a una doble lectura: la de las obras y la del propio espacio.

A GALLERY THAT IS ALSO HERITAGE

PFZ is not just an exhibition space. It is also an architectural and emotional experience.

The gallery is located in a palatial house in the historic center of Jávea. A late 19th-century building, it has been restored with careful respect for its original essence. Far from being an invasive intervention, the project has recovered the building’s splendor, allowing its walls to continue telling their own story. Situated next to the Archaeological Museum of Jávea, the gallery is integrated into one of the most significant areas of the old town.

Visiting PFZ is not only about contemplating contemporary art, but also about exploring the history of the place.

Each room invites a dual interpretation: that of the artworks and that of the space itself.
