TO STABLE COURT
HELLO AND WELCOME!
We are so pleased you are joining us in Stable Court. This is where our year 3 to year 6 children have their classrooms, discover new things every day, and enjoy plenty of fun and friendship along the way.
NEW CHALLENGES
You will be supporting you with lots of exciting new challenges in your learning, and in our exciting programme of clubs, activities, trips and residentials!
When you join Stable Court, you will become part of one of four school houses. You will wear your special house-coloured t-shirt with pride as you take part in exciting activities and friendly competitions throughout the year. Here are the four houses:
YOUR NEW CLASSROOMS AND TEACHERS
Your teacher will make sure you get to the right place for your lessons. Stable Court children regularly use the sports hall, tennis courts, dining hall, theatre, amongst other parts of the campus.
For some lessons you may have a specialist teacher who is not your class teacher, this is usually for music, computing, sport and languages.
For art and science lessons you will be taught in a specialist classroom and we use our outdoor spaces when we can.
Our friendly librarian will take great pride in helping you to find your next favourite book and maybe you will become one of our word millionaires!
We go out for interesting trips, have workshops, visiting speakers, go to the theatre and have residential trips.
YOUR SCHOOL DAY
Each morning, you will line up in our playground with your class, ready to start the day together.
You will bring in your own snack to eat at morning break when you can have a play, enjoy some fresh-air or drop into the wellbeing hut.
At lunchtime your class will go to the dining hall to choose from the daily menu options. After eating, you will have lots of time to play with your new friends, enjoy the trim trail, and engage in some quiet or noisy games... Remember to check whose turn it is to play on the pitch!
SCHOOL BAG MUST-HAVES
Your school laptop, charging cable and wireless headphones – fully charged and ready to go!
Your planner and any homework you need to hand in – stay organised!
A healthy snack for break time – just remember… no nuts please!
Your instrument and music book – if you have a music lesson.
Your PE or games kit, or anything needed for clubs or activities – double-check your schedule!
Your school coat – especially if the weather looks a bit wild.
A water bottle – stay hydrated throughout the day.
And last but not least, your fully stocked pencil case! It’s your Stable Court toolkit!

Don’t forget to label everything you bring to school so if something does get lost, it’ll be much easier to find. The lost property boxes are the first place to check!
FRIENDLY FACES
I am head of the junior school. I am here to make sure that each day you are taking every opportunity to be curious, creative, develop in confidence and aim a little higher than the day before!
My job is to make sure you feel safe and happy when you are at school. Come and tell me about yourself, I look forward to getting to know more about you.
I am in charge of what you learn in your lessons and making sure that everything that happens in Stable Court runs smoothly. I organise exciting topics for you to study and make sure you are learning everything you need to know. I’m really looking forward to seeing all the brilliant things you will do here!
My job involves recognising that all children learn in different ways and helping everyone to achieve their full potential - I look forward to finding out how you learn best.
I am based in the school office with Miss Robbins. I am here to help you with all your clubs and co-curricular activities and support you with anything you need throughout the school day.
I am based in the school office with Mrs Bennett. We are always here to help, whether you have forgotten something, need support, or are not quite sure where you need to be. Please do come and see us.

Please go to the school office and sign in so we know you have arrived.
Tell your teacher or the person on duty in the playground and they will help.
Talk to one of your teachers, Mr Vincent or any adult you feel able to talk to at school.
