Owls Class Assembly – Friday 23 January
A huge well done to Owls Class for their fantastic class assembly about Florence Nightingale this morning. The children performed brilliantly and showcased their hard work!
YEAR 1 ECO-WARRIOR WORKSHOP
TUESDAY 13 JANUARY
Year 1 had a super time at the eco-warriors workshop. We learned about reusing, recycling and reducing our plastic use which is very important. We discovered there were ecofriendly ways of making electricity and acted out solar, hydro and wind power. We did some drama based on the plight of the fish in the oceans as we found out that so much of their space is taken up with lots of rubbish. We talked about composting and how we can reuse our food waste and highlight of our workshop was the game ‘silly sandwiches’.
NURSERY SPACE DOME WORKS
THURSDAY 22 JANUARY
Today, we embarked y p adventure into space. Upon entering our hall, we discovered a giant inflatable dome standing in the middle. The children were thrilled to see what awaited inside. After removing our shoes, we all crawled inside and were transported into space.
The children observed all the planets projected before them, as well as the stars and beautiful constellations. These pictures were accompanied by engaging stories to help them understand what they can see in the night sky.
We were very proud to hear the fantastic knowledge the children have about space and how wonderfully they sat and listened to the fascinating information.
