shaped by more than two decades in hospitality and a lifelong commitment to athletics. With a background in luxury resorts and hotels, experience competing in endurance events including Ironman Lake Tahoe, and ten years owning and operating a fitness business, he brings a unique perspective on how movement, coaching, and service build strong communities. He believes fitness and wellness are more than workouts—they are daily opportunities for connection, consistency, and personal growth. He is proud to support a department that welcomes members of all backgrounds and life stages while delivering best-inclass experiences.

year-round community of swimmers, freshair seekers, and water lovers of all ages. From early-morning lap swimmers to families and social poolside gatherings, the aquatic environment encourages daily connection, movement, and shared experience in a setting that feels both energizing and restorative.​ Led by Aquatics Team Coach Ahelee Osborn, our heated outdoor pools and flexible swim spaces support all levels—from Swim Academy to Streamliners Swim Team—creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable, supported, and at home. Through flexible lane configurations, open swim areas, classes, certifications, swim team practices, and offerings such as the yearround Swim Academy and Streamliners Swim Team, the club ensures every member and guest feels welcomed, supported, and inspired.

Paula Wujeck Kids’ Club Manager paula.wujek @claremontresort.com Kids’ Club provides a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where

children are truly part of the Claremont family. Guided by a team of dedicated attendants with years of childcare experience, children are encouraged to explore, play, learn, and grow—giving parents the freedom to enjoy a workout, date night, or relaxing spa experience with complete peace of mind. Paula brings decades of experience in teaching, camp leadership, and children’s theater and dance programs. Known for her creativity and nurturing approach, Paula enjoys encouraging imagination, confidence, and self-expression.​

Edward Roe

Managing Director ​​ For the past two and a half years, Edward has had the distinct honor of serving the Claremont Resort & Club as the Managing Director. Leading this iconic property, while simultaneously serving as Board Chairman for Visit Oakland, allows him the unique privilege of championing the vibrant East Bay community the resort so proudly calls home. While his hospitality career has taken him around the world—from England and Abu Dhabi to Bermuda and Canada—Edward has never felt a stronger sense of connection than he does at the Claremont. Whether guests are enjoying a thoughtfully prepared meal at one of the resort’s dining destinations, unwinding at the Club, or staying overnight in one of the historic suites, his goal is to ensure that every guest feels genuinely cared for and leaves with meaningful, lasting memories of their experience. ​
