Communications & Engagement Team update • Urban realm feedback received and Urban Design Delivery Works Plan (DWP) to be presented back to CLG in late August • Meetings with residential apartment blocks around the Mt Eden site ongoing • New look notifications and a better process coming soon

Basque Park works overview As part of the City Rail Link upgrade at Mt Eden station a wastewater pipe needs to be diverted to Basque Park:
•
One quarter of the park’s total area will be fenced off for construction
• On site for a maximum of 12 months (starting October at the earliest) • Park will be restored to its original state post-construction
• Working hours Mon-Sat 7am-7pm (but will likely be shorter)

Why Basque Park? • The gravity wastewater solution is the asset owner Watercare’s preference. Pump systems and siphon options will only be accepted by Watercare when there is no gravity system available. • Alternatives have been considered, but this is the best solution due to: – Reduced ongoing maintenance and operation
– Separation of storm and wastewater pipes – Upgrading of ageing infrastructure

Basque Park works overview Noise and vibration • Understandably noise will be a concern for local residents. Our extensive surveys to date show the levels are ‘acceptable’ under Auckland Council’s guidelines (less than 70dB). • These can be variable so we will monitor on-site during construction to make sure we address any exceedances.

Parking • Up to 10 parking spaces will be temporarily lost. Combination of 120 min and unrestricted.
