Project Update – Britomart Contract 1 • About halfway through the 15-20 metre deep diaphragm wall construction to form the twin tunnels • Early 2018, underpin the CPO with steel beams across the walls and transfer weight of CPO onto structure • Walls become part of the permanent structure • Eventual streetscape at 50% design stage
• Contract progressing to programme with no significant inground obstruction encountered

Project Update – Commercial Bay (DSC) • The two tunnels are taking shape as they cross the site from east to west • They will eventually connect to sections of tunnel under Lower Queen Street from the Britomart works and at Customs Street from the Albert Street works • Good progress to meet adjacent CRL contract timeframes

Project Update – Albert Street Contract 2 • Excavation depth halfway- nine of the 18m- between Wyndham and Swanson Streets • Traffic decks in place from Wyndham to Wolfe Streets • Customs/Albert Street intersection complete and traffic back to two lanes each way • Excavation was challenging during wet weather and in sticky clay layers. Contractor making good progress in firm soils.

Project Delivery Agreement •
Project Delivery Agreement (PDA) between CRL and sponsors on what and how we deliver is in line with cost and programme

The PDA documents the open & cooperative relationship between CRLL and its sponsors

The PDA sets out: - The terms on which CRLL is to deliver the Project - Key delivery objectives - Basis of Sponsor funding - Processes for review, approvals and assurance

Includes a Target Delivery Cost* of $3.37bn (P50); and
•
Target Delivery Date* of March 2024
•
The PDA reserves certain decision making rights of the Council and Crown, including to approve the suppliers for all main works contracts (C3,C5, C6. C7 , C8 & C9) and the release of RfPs for contracts C3 and C7
