Alert Level 2
• At Alert Level 2, controls will continue to be maintained including safety briefings, distancing, cleaning and staggered schedules for arrival and breaks. • Crew sizes will be increased as safely appropriate. • Working within 1-meter distance is permitted with additional controls in place based on a risk assessment. • Additional hand washing facilities with soap and hot water have been provided and regular breaks encouraged for handwashing. • Appropriate levels of soap, sanitiser (minimum 60% alcohol based) and disposable paper towels kept topped up at all times. • Signage in place • Communal areas will be regularly cleaned and disinfected including work surfaces and high touch points such as door handles and handrails.

Proposal to Amend and Extend the Pedestrian Mall on Lower Queen Street C1 and C2 Community Liaison Group 27 May 2020
Purpose To inform the Community Liaison Group on a proposed amendment and extension of the pedestrian mall on Lower Queen Street, with the public consultation estimated to commence on 4 June 2020, for a one-month period.

Proposed Pedestrian Mall Amendment Proposed prohibition •
It is proposed that the driving, riding or parking of any vehicle, or the riding of any animal, is to be prohibited on any part of the pedestrian mall at all times.
Proposed exemptions •
It is proposed that the following exemptions will apply to the pedestrian mall:
•
Cyclists will be exempt from the prohibition and may access any part of the pedestrian mall at all times but must give priority to pedestrians.
•
Emergency service vehicles will be exempt from the prohibition and may access the pedestrian mall at any time that is necessary in the circumstances.
•
Authorised vehicles (with prior permission from AT) will be exempt from the prohibition and may access the pedestrian mall during times they have been authorised by AT to access in order to undertake maintenance or otherwise assist with activities occurring within the pedestrian mall, such as events.
Next steps A. The Community Liaison Group notes the proposal to declare a pedestrian mall on Lower Queen Street, with public consultation starting on the 4 June 2020, for a month period. B. Individual members can submit feedback during the public consultation period.

CRL general update on works • Construction sites shutdown for four weeks during lockdown
• Planning, design, procurement and communication functions still operating during lockdown
• Restarted on all construction sites on 28 April • Link Alliance working to double shifts on all sites • Business Hardship Programme interim scheme implemented during Levels 3 and 4
• CRL Ltd working with valuer to look at payments made and then define a way forward

Karangahape Station site • Utility relocations are underway in Beresford Square and Pitt Street • Beresford Square has closed to vehicles, and construction support area being established
• Construction of the Mercury Lane shaft has started • Bentonite plant being installed in Mercury Lane • East Street has been temporarily reduced to one lane

• Piling started to build the tunnel portal for the TBM
• Basalt rock-blasting has started • Demolition works complete • Porters Ave closes this weekend • Mt Eden Station to close 11 July, new free 64 bus planned
