Our 2024 Spark in the Park was a booming success, uniting the community for a memorable event With a packed schedule of activities, electrifying performances by Eli Young Band and Texas Clearwater Revival, and a stunning firework display illuminating the night sky, it was another unforgettable experience Special thanks to Weatherford Parks and Recreation for their efforts in coordinating this spectacular event, and gratitude to all attendees who joined in on all the fun.






On July 13, we celebrated the 39th annual Parker County Peach Festival! Peach week is one of our favorite times of the year, filled with breaking the world record for the largest peach cobbler, enjoying live music, and savoring delicious peachy treats. We extend heartfelt thanks to the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce and everyone who helped make the event a success, and to our incredible community and visitors for coming together to make this a peachy and fun-filled day!





This year marks the 10th anniversary of Clear the Shelter, a nationwide campaign dedicated to finding loving homes for animals in need Running from August 10 to September 10, this month-long event is a fantastic opportunity to support pet adoption and donations. To celebrate, the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter is hosting a special promotional day on August 17 Join us for a fun-filled day with vendors, delicious food, engaging kid attractions, and more! Adoption fees will be waived for the day, and our goal is to find loving homes for all our animals and clear out our kennels. Weatherford Chamber of Commerce President Tammy Gazzola was honored at the July 16th City Council meeting. Gazzola recently received the 25-Years of Service Award from the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Under Gazzola's leadership, the Chamber has grown from 400 to over 1,000 members, becoming a vital hub for business development and support She has also led the growth of the award-winning Parker County Peach Festival and transformed the chamber into a go-to resource for businesses
This achievement is a testament to Gazzola's passion for service and pursuit of excellence, making her a true leader in the community. THANK YOU, Tammy, for all you do for Weatherford!

The Weatherford Police Department school resource officers hosted our summer Junior Police Academy. Fourteen students and two alumni were invited to spend the week with officers learning what it’s like to be a police officer Students enjoyed classroom learning and hands-on activities including mock crime scenes, fitness, defense tactics, and firearms. The week ended with a service project partnering with the Center of Hope and a special graduation.
