New Fire Station 52 ‘topped off’ An informal "topping off" ceremony was held March 23 at the construction site of the new Venice Fire Rescue Station 52 campus at 1545 E. Venice Ave., next to the Venice Police Department. The milestone marks the placement of the highest structural beam in this portion of the fire station - a celebratory moment that signifies major construction progress of this important public safety facility. City officials and staff signed the beam prior to it being placed. This forward-looking facility will serve as the home for Fire Administration, Fire Operations, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Prevention, and support the City's Emergency Operations Center. Carefully designed to meet both present and future needs, Station 52 will feature five apparatus bays, administrative offices, living and sleeping quarters, a fitness area, kitchen, conference room, and vital support spaces.
