Community Connections is a service that supports people to increase their independence in the home and to build stronger, meaningful social and community connections. Over a period of 12 weeks, participants will work with the Community Connections team to identify relevant personal goals and receive tailored individual support to work towards achieving these goals.

Crèche is available for some programs and places must be booked when enrolling. Eligibility conditions apply. Commercial Kitchen Practice Commencing Friday 7 February This 15 week course introduces participants to various career opportunities and study options in the industry, while developing skills and knowledge essential for the sector. Participants will learn by performing hospitality tasks, understand common terminology used and follow expected procedures safely. Pathway to Children’s Services Commencing Monday 4 of February This fully funded 15 week course introduces participants to the Children’s Services industry in a welcoming community learning environment. The focus will be to improve oral, comprehension and writing skills for use in the industry and to explore education pathways for this career. Pathway to the Horticulture Industry Commencing 1st week of February Through this 15 week course, learn work health, and safety practices, the fundamentals of planting, potting and maintaining plants, how to recognise

plants, soil testing, how to treat pests/ diseases while following work, health and safety practices. Explore study and employment opportunities in the industry. Writing Skills for Work and Study Commencing Monday 4 February This 16-week course will focus on developing your English reading and writing skills for work or study.
