Tree Lighting, Santa Train & Snowfest bring holiday joy to Paramount families!

T

he Paramount community started the Christmas season in style on November 30 at the well-attended annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, which included a free concert by the Milanés Brothers Latin Band. Santa and his helpers, as well as representatives of the LA Kings (new owners of LA Kings Iceland), joined the City Council and staff on stage for the gala event (see page 3). Our traditional Santa Train rolled out for the 53rd year on December 7, visiting Paramount neighborhoods for three days as Santa passed out 25,000 goody bags packed once again by our faithful MUSA volunteers. From December 10 through 12, Paramount kids hit the slopes for Snowfest, which featured day and evening sled runs, snow play, photo opportunities and Santa’s Craft Village. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Youngsters had a great time sledding and playing in the snow—an annual holiday treat in Paramount.
